Giving American home educators a taste of what's to come if the U.S. government continues down the path of European-style socialism, Utah Judge Scott Johansen recently ordered, per a bureaucratic paperwork glitch, the removal of a homeschool mother's children if she refused to enroll them in public school.

As if that were not bizarre enough, the mother, Denise Mafi, was threatened with two years jail time if her children failed to show up for class without a physician's note excusing them.

From the article:

Add to that the arrogance of a judge saying he won't even allow home education. Who set him up as dictator?

According to this link here, he's a governor-appointed blackrobe.

States are desperate for tax money so the schools can continue to throw it down the rathole and corrupt our children. The radical leftwing legislators hate home-schooling, but more and more parents continue to take their kids out of the system and teach them at home, because of the vile curricula of public ed: the Ritalin, the pro-homosexual agenda, anti-Judeo-Christian propaganda and the atmosphere of sex and drugs. >>>Utah is a solidly Mormon state. I*m no pol, but if I were a certain candidate I*d look into this case and then make a few phone calls. Even though Utah wasn*t my state. This stinking creep in a dirty black robe is violating rights all over the place. I wonder how many people he has destroyed.

“Add to that the arrogance of a judge saying he won’t even allow home education. Who set him up as dictator?”

He set HIMSELF up as dictator. And he IS our Dictator. And he will REMAIN our dictator until Americans realize that such towering illegality and arrogance is not responded to with mere words.

Such as this Constitution hateing pig will do as they damned well please unless and until the whip is cracked.

Period.

From the article:
Also on Dec. 12, another homeschool mother, Kristin Maguire, was voted chairwoman-elect of South Carolina's Board of Education. While some, using their full mental capacities, applauded Maguire as well qualified for the position, "educration" bureaucrats such as Sheila Gallagher, president of the S.C. Education Association, declared the vote "a missed opportunity."
...
Another intolerant response, offered by 2007 South Carolina Chamber of Commerce businessman of the year Lee Bussell, opined that Maguire's management would be "like having a CEO of an airline who has no experience flying." He added, "I don't think (homeschoolers) ought to be put in a leadership position in something as important as public education. The one place we don't need partisan politics in our school."

Did this leftist say partisan politics? Evidently, he can't see his foot for his nose.

To round off the smear job, Democratic Party Chairwoman Carol Fowler added that "having Kristin Maguire chair the State Board of Education is akin to Dick Cheney teaching a gun safety course." She asked, "What does a woman who homeschools her four children know about South Carolina public schools?"

The answer is that she knows enough to have taken her own children out of the system.

This is the reason the education system in South Carolina and America is in such a mess. The leaders that are set in their positions of power do not want change they want to control the money and their kingdoms plus the Democrats full well realize their party’s power is centered around the uneducated and their teachers unions.
Remember Bill Clinton installed Richard Riley as his Secretary of Education after Riley was a governor from South Carolina who had one of the poorest marks on education in America. After Riley left the department they had misplaced over 400 hundred million dollars. This indicates to me that they funneled money to their political cronies. The US Government is the biggest criminal enterprise in America today in my opinion.
Also as political payback and back scratching Clinton came to South Carolina to praise Riley last week and to secure his blessings for Hillary. This is how our political system works and for the life of me I do not understand why Americans follow these so called leaders so blindly. It only goes to show how stupid we Americans really are.

The plot to dumb down the citizenry has succeeded! One only need look at the fact that the likes of Hitlery and Oblamalama are taken seriously as candidates for President to realize that a huge segment of the populace is no more blessed for brains than the scarecrow. Today one can be treated to the spectacle of “intellectuals”, complete with long lists of degrees, in earnest debate over ideas so ridiculous the mere mention of them would have created gales of hysterical laughter among the “uneducated” classes fifty years ago.

I agree with you. I volunteer in schools several times a week and I see what’s going on. The “education” these children are receiving is horrible. Hit the high spots and go on. There’s no depth.

I am heartened that Ms. Maguire has a position of authority. May she use it intelligently.
