Actually socially right and fiscally left could probably be the combo that results in a huge victory.
Call it the William Jennings Bryant model...
Dems are salivating at the prospect of the Huck from Hope.
Don’t hold back. Tell us how you REALLY feel about Mike Huckabee.
And fieldmarshaldj isn't the only one.
“If This Goes On”... nice reference!
Not with my vote he wouldn’t. I traveled to visit relatives in two different states over Christmas, and of course politics came up. In both conversations, the individuals I spoke with up were very disillusioned. Neither would consider voting for Huckabee and one indicated that he would probably not vote in the general election for the first time in 40 years.
In all fairness to the Huckster, he probably could beat any Dem, in the Dem primary. He could then put McCain on the ticket and have the liberal dream team.
We'll have to form numerous suicide negotiator teams to talk a lot of these people down from tall building ledges if Huckabee is the Republican nominee.
“A wife is to submit graciously to the servant leadership of her husband even as the church willingly submits to the headship of Christ,” the convention says in its statement of faith. Baptist Press reported that the 1998 ad was addressed to denomination leaders and said: “You are right because you called wives to graciously submit to their husband’s sacrificial leadership.”
Talk about the Gender Gap. The only woman that would vote for Huckabee in a General election is Huckabee’s wife (IF HE LETS HER).
Give the Dems 10 months to ensure everyone without a Y Chromosome is aware of this. Combine this gem with Huckabee’s call on women to be subservient to their husbands and we would lose in McGovernesque fashion.
Worked so well for him.
You got it. I can hear Huckabee’s opening remarks of his acceptance speech at the nominating convention now:
Surprise! Surprise! Surprise!
Sure, he was a three time loser, but times are different now.
Not that I advocate such a policy position or candidate, just that I think it would be very popular.
Yet, I always thought the Dems would go there again before the Repubs....
Won't have to talk me down - heck a Huck nomination would be liberating in some respects, I could go the whole rest of the year not worrying about the presidential campaign or politics at all.
The wife and Ihave been talking about taking a cruise around Thanksgiving, in this case I wouldn't have to worry about being in the country election day.
More and more info is coming out about this clown everyday. With the exception of Paul I’ll vote for anyone else.
Bingo! This Schuster is an arrogant twit who thinks people pay attention to him and he’ll try to use that to influence the 12 vieweres of MSNBC to support Reverend Huckaberry to insure a Republican defeat.
Maybe it just me ... but I know of no one that will vote for Huck
People who can vote and do not, deserve to lose the right to vote.
People who vote like sheep regardless of who is on the ballot, and without any awarness of a candidates position / record, deserve to be treated like sheep. If I had to choose between a Dem and Rudy, Mitt, McCain or the Huckster, I would write in a third party candidate.
