Greetings Thrill Seekers!!
A little late today - tks for the
ping, PogySailor
I hope you all had a GREAT Christmas!! Are we going to have PINGS tomorrow and the rest of the week??
Getting the thread started late today.
I thought we wouldn’t have a ping today — was here before but noone had a ping!
but can vote for Huck
If he is candidate — I’ll hold my nose for Huck, but I’ll vote for him. Huck is a TAX RAISER! I don’t need a RINO!
I’m looking forward to my hometown conservative talk show host, Mark Belling, to sit in for Rush tomorrow.
You make good points.
But I just keep remembering the 2004 election.
The vaunted front runner for the Democrats in 2003 wasn’t anywhere to be seen when it was time for the General Election.
I think we as Republicans/Conservatives need to remember that and apply it to ourselves.
I also think the MSM is ignoring Sen. Thompson because he is the one they and the Libs fear the most in a General Election.
If you go and read what he’s put out about his positions on the issues you’d understand why the media is avoiding him.
I agree on your take on Thompson.
something came up on Fox about a Huck ‘ally’ trashing Rush
I work at home and listen to Rush M-F. My radio is silent till I turn it on for his program. My VCR was programed to come on at 5AM when he had his TV shows here in Texas. I taped and have all his shows. I’m very familar with his M.O. I have to say that I do not detect any ‘struggle of late’. He has had numerous attacks lately but has handled them like the pro he is. The attack on him from “Dingy Harry” Reid was a classic example, and Huckabee’s people are now backpeddling to negative remarks they made about him forcing Huckabee himself to say, “I love Rush Limbaugh; I’ve always loved his show,” I fail to see a stuggle there for Rush.
2006 was all about Foley. Unfortunately for all, the parking on the left is now the parking on the right.
It was Reagan’s former campaign manager Ed Rollins that went after Rush.
He’s the Hucksters campaign manager now.
When he first got the Cochlear implant he would have to go in periodically for adjustments.
Perhaps it’s time for another one.
Plus I know he’s been doing some shows from the ABC Studios in New York.
I don’t think his studio there is as up to date on the speech to text capabilities as the studios in Florida.
But of course all of that is just and educated guess and as always IMHO.
Incorporation of rights, particularly the right to keep and bear arms, was an important part of the debate over ratification of the 14th Amendment. See That Every Man Be Armed. (One of the arguments against the amendment was that States would have to permit Negroes to carry arms.)
ML/NJ
Actually as I read on a little bit...it wasn’t some anonymous Huckster staffer that made the crack about Rush repeating what the “New York or Wall Street-DC axis” are saying...it was Rollins himself.
But the MSM...because this guy is going after Limbaugh and because Huckster is the MSM’s current Darling...they are covering for Mr. Rollins and saying it was just some member of the Hucksters staff.
Ed Rollins is probably wishing he were Henry Rollins right about now.
If the Dems get in.
I’ve been a fan since 92 and will continue to be. Things have changed since his hearing loss tho and I think that puts an extra burden on him. I can see the day he will retire coming sooner than later.
I thought that was during the Jimmmah Carter years?
Actually an old term ... first time I heard it was doing the halcyon days of the 1970’s.
