Follow. The. Money.

There’s so much bullcrap in that endorsement to rival a stockyard.

Bitter, bitter old man.

"So you think Romney bought the guy’s book, and so he endorsed Romney?"

I never heard of this man before this "endorsement", but what was said was such malarkey that he certainly has questionable credentials. Either paid off or simply pig-ignorant of the man he endorsed.

"What did you get from Thompson for your endorsement? I presume nothing, and imagine you would be insulted by the very question that you might compromise your principles for money or power."

I do get something from Thompson for my endorsement. My integrity and my conscience, perhaps even my soul. None of those are for sale. Way too many people have forgotten what those things are, especially when that much power is at stake.

"But you seem to have no moral compunction to treat other conservatives with any modicum of respect, honesty, or common courtesy."

Of course I do. Actual ones. In fact, I treat liberals with respect, too, when they don't lie to my face and claim to be something they're not. If you and your friends supporting the RINO candidates had the intellectual honesty to admit you were true liberals, it'd be a step in the right direction. But there is often the case that the old adage applies and why I have little patience for the nonsense you and your folks spew, and that is if you want to anger a (this) Conservative, lie to them, you want to anger a liberal (you), tell them the truth.

"Just make up lies about them, it’s all good because they don’t support your candidate so they deserve to be slandered."

Follow the money or fools. It's one or the other.

To tell the truth, you must have evidence. You slander people with no evidence. If you presented evidence for your claims, that would be the conservative way.

Simply accusing people of things because you don’t like them is NOT part of the conservative philosophy.

I’ve got no problem with the truth, and I wish there was more of it around here. Telling me that a person I know personally, and who you’ve never met, is taking bribes for his endorsement (a Police Officer, no less) strikes me as anything BUT conservative.

Claiming that a well-respected evangelical Christian writer took bribes to endorse a candidate simply because you don’t like that candidate likewise shows little evidence of conservative principles.

BTW, there’s no problem with claiming the people are ignorant. It doesn’t malign their character with no evidence, and it provides an excuse for you to ignore their wisdom and advice without personally attacking them.

In the case of some endorsers, the claim has no merit, but arguing opinions with no merit is simply ignorant, not a sin, like bearing false witness against your neighbor is.

I am just puzzled why these supposedly intelligent, thoughtful people are so easily duped by Slick Willard.

This is from the same group of people who are so enthusiastic about snake oil salesmen like Rick Warren.

I’m picturing you crawling around on your hands and knees poking in corners looking for spare change.

You make baseless and false accusations, provide no supporting information because there is none, and then tell people they are supposed to follow some imaginary trail of bread crumbs, but that they won’t because somehow following those imaginary crumbs would make your point.

Which apparently is that if you put periods after each word, you can use extra capital letters.

Just because McCain is a grad doesn’t mean he gets blind loyalty from the Annapolis set.
Remeber - JEC was a grad too...

Another pathological, baseless, slanderous post by fieldmarshaldj. The broken record goes on and on. I wish I was famous enough to get some of this money the Mitt is throwing around. I suppose every caucus member who votes for Mitt will also be the recipient of some well greased lucre. Nobody attacks anybody else’s candidates the way you and your syncophants do Mr Romney. You guys are pathetic.

If you were half as interested in attacking the demo “rats” as you are Republicans your existence could almost be justified. Sadly you are only interested in spreading your venom against one, single, Republican candidate. The only good thing about your obsession is the fact that so pitifully few thinking people agree with you.

I hope after Republicans chose their nominee you can make some dough working for the DNC, that is if you are not already.

"If you were half as interested in attacking the demo “rats” as you are Republicans your existence could almost be justified."

My enemies are liberals. Keeping those liberals the hell out of the Republican party is of paramount importance. I expect rodents to be liberal and crooked, because that is their M.O. I do not expect that cancer to infest our party. Perhaps you might consider that for two seconds and understand why I go after phony liberal frauds seeking to lead our party.

"Sadly you are only interested in spreading your venom against one, single, Republican candidate."

Really ? Only one ? I am critical of not only Romney, but of Huckster (the Southern Romney), Dr. Demento, Rudy, & McCain. I have no use for any of those 5 RINOs. Since Rudy is fairly well reviled on FR, as is McCain, not much has to be said. I spend little time with the Paulbots, but if he was at the top of the polls, I would certainly turn full attention to going after him. That leaves Romney and Huckster, both of whom are either at or near the top of the polls with many people in the dark as to how dreadful both are. I'm here to enlighten them.

"The only good thing about your obsession is the fact that so pitifully few thinking people agree with you."

Wrong again. I've had many people thank me for enlightening them about Joe Isuzu Romney. It's always unfortunate when a candidate that "looks" like a leader in physical presence and talks a good game is the polar opposite in reality. These same folks comment to me how hypocritical it is when his most hard-core supporters then go after Huckster full-tilt, criticizing him for all of the obvious character flaws and phoniness that they so blatantly ignore in their own candidate.

"I hope after Republicans chose their nominee you can make some dough working for the DNC, that is if you are not already."

Rudy McRombee's nomination couldn't do more to help the Democrat party fortunes than their own standard-bearer. If you were a Conservative, you'd know that.

You win for the nonsensical post of the day .

I guess pointing out the RINO infestation in the Republican party is now the equivalent of working for the DNC ?

It has been proven that Romney is a flip-flopping panderer , do you support that ?

If not , maybe you should refrain from attacking Fieldmarshal for the ....gasp... horrible sin of actually wanting a Conservative nominee. He’s not the only one , there are many of us .
Does that bother you ?

That's a really funny photo in light of this...

Romney aide is the focus of probe - Allegedly acted as State Police trooper

By Stephanie Ebbert and Scott Helman, Globe Staff | June 22, 2007

State Police are investigating one of Mitt Romney's top campaign aides for allegedly impersonating a trooper by calling a Wilmington company and threatening to cite the driver of a company van for erratic driving, according to two law enforcement sources familiar with the probe.

Jay Garrity, who is director of operations on Romney's presidential campaign and a constant presence at his side, became the primary target of the investigation, according to one of the sources, after authorities traced the cellphone used to make the call back to him. The investigation comes three years after Garrity, while working for Romney in the State House, was cited for having flashing lights and other police equipment in his car without proper permits.

The New Hampshire attorney general, according to the Associated Press, has also opened an investigation into a report that a Romney aide, later identified as Garrity, pulled over a New York Times reporter in New Hampshire and said he had run his license plate.

Nothing you people do anymore bothers me. Like petulant children who do not get their way you are an annoyance and nothing more. If the Dems win the WH in 08 because your perfect candidate never appeared, you can all sit back smile and feel good about teaching the Republican Party a much needed lesson like you did in 2006.

“My enemies are liberals”

Translation: anybody that doesn’t meet your standard of conservative purity. It must be nice to live in such a simple black and white world. Sadly the rest of us have to live in the real world where sometimes you take your 70-80% and accept that is all you are going to realistic get. But then I am sure that type of thinking would never cross the mind of someone so focused on exorcising all the evil from the Republican Party.

You won’t support Romney, Huckabee, Rudy, McCain or Paul. Tancredo and Brownback are out of the race, Hunter was never really in the race, Keyes, well we won’t go there, Newt isn’t running, and Fred is drawing about 3-4% in most states. I guess you won’t have much to do next November since you won’t be voting in general election.

Until proven otherwise I will stand by my assertion that there are a lot more pragmatic conservatives like me who will drink from a glass 3/4 full over dying of thirst waiting for perfection.

But hey don’t let me stop you from your elightenin’ duties.
