Boston, MA Governor Mitt Romney today announced that Dr. Robert Wolgemuth, former Chairman of the Evangelical Christian Publishers Association and best-selling author, has endorsed his candidacy for President of the United States. Dr. Wolgemuth will play an important role in sharing Governor Romney's message of strengthening the American family with voters across the country.
"I am very pleased to have Robert's support," said Governor Romney. "He is a respected social conservative author and leader who understands the most important work being done in America today is the work being done inside the four walls of the family home. With his help, we will work to share our message of true conservative change with Americans across the nation."
With today's announcement, Dr. Wolgemuth said, "Governor Romney has demonstrated that he is the one candidate in both parties who can represent the three pillars of the Reagan coalition a strong military, a strong economy and stronger families. Most importantly, he has laid out a vision for strengthening American families through championing a Federal Marriage Amendment and defending the sanctity of human life. Governor Romney has the experience, vision and personal values to lead our county as we face ongoing and new domestic and global challenges, and I am proud to support his candidacy."
Background On Dr. Robert Wolgemuth:

Also reported briefly in Is Orlando the center of the GOP Universe:

Here, from Zondervan, is some information about Wolgemuth.
I agree, another good endorsement for Romney. I am just puzzled why these supposedly intelligent, thoughtful people are so easily duped by Slick Willard. For some reason I view him as patently phony when I hear him speak on issues ranging from life to taxation to immigration to national defense.
Maybe I just need more education.
I’ve been noticing that a lot of prolific conservatives are coalescing around Romney in the last few weeks. He seems to be emerging as the consensus choice.
Wouldn’t it be funny if, contrary to media conventional wisdom, the Republican race was decided before the Democrat one? That might throw a wrench into their talking points that have tried to portrey Republicans as dissatisfied and Democrats as happy.
If it was one or two people, you might easily dismiss them.
I like to make up my own mind. However, in a lot of these cases, the endorsees get a chance to actually meet the candidate, or their campaign staff, and really ask questions and evaluate.
If I could interview each candidate for a half hour, I’d trust my own judgment more than anybody else’s judgment.
But since I don’t get to do that, I find it useful when people I trust DO get to sit down with the candidates, and then tell me they trust them. It’s not as good as doing it myself, but it’s better then not having the input.
In this case though, this was more important to me because the author is a respected conservative evangelical Christian writer, the kind that might be expected to go to Huckabee, or to have concerns about Romney, so I’m always happy when someone like this endorses my candidate.
I can respect that you are supporting Romney, unlike most folks I won’t attempt to demonize you for following a candidate. I believe that any of the Republican candidates running would be far better than any of the RATS running.
That being said, I do doubt Romney’s new found positions. He has not done a good enough job, in my humble opinion, of explaining why he thought the murder of the unborn was OK, and why he now thinks it is wrong. I also think he has not explained why he was so against the Reagan-Bush years and now wants to wrap himself in the Reagan flag. Also, when I heard his attempt to explain what the meaning of the word “saw” is, I had to cringe.
Again, I guess I am just missing it.
You just proved the old saying to be true, if you are going to tell a whopper tell a big whopper. Since it seems the huckster is cleaning his clock out west and Mclaim is cleaning his clock in New england. LOL
How’s life in socialist CT these days, Charles?
Merry Christmas!! :D
I don’t live in Connecticut. The “CT” doesn’t stand for a state, it’s the abbreviation of the name of a column I write for a local newspaper. I did grow up for a time in Connecticut when I was a child, and remember it fondly.
I’d change my name (you are hardly the first to think I meant a state), but I don’t know how to do that, and I don’t want to lose my posting history.
Great news!!! We need all of the Christian conservatives backing Mitt that we can possibly get. I’m really glad to see this one.

Who?
He just picked up another one too. This one from an Iowa Christian group leader.

I know that there are going to be a lot of people who don’t recognize the name. That’s why I provided two additional links with plenty of source material to answer your question.
He’s a well-known Christian writer.
Again .. Who?
Another meaningless endorsement.
I am sick of endorsements of all kinds from all angles for all candidates.
I don’t need someone else to tell me what to think and who to vote for.
Ridiculous.
Follow. The. Money.
There’s so much bullcrap in that endorsement to rival a stockyard.
I’m sorry, I thought you were asking a question. I didn’t realize it was rhetorical.
So you think Romney bought the guy’s book, and so he endorsed Romney?
What did you get from Thompson for your endorsement? I presume nothing, and imagine you would be insulted by the very question that you might compromise your principles for money or power.
But you seem to have no moral compunction to treat other conservatives with any modicum of respect, honesty, or common courtesy. Just make up lies about them, it’s all good because they don’t support your candidate so they deserve to be slandered.
Another solid endorsemnet for Romney!
