Hah.
Well, unfortunately, it looks like you might just have to do that, since there is no “perfect” candidate. (And I’m not inferring that Mr. Romney or Mr. Giuliani will be the nominee.)
Compared to Mitt Romney, Fred Thompson is a saint. And believe me, that’s very faint praise.
My candidate is perfect enough for me. Deep Reagan administration experience in foreign policy, national defense, and dealing with the terrorist threat. Eloquent, consistent (unmoved over decades) defender of the God-given rights to life and liberty that are spelled out in Declaration, the Constitution and the Reagan platform. Without peer in this generation as a communicator of conservatism. An all-around good man. No one else like him, in fact.
Do you have some source of information that the site's owner and/or moderators are banning people based on directions from "Fred supporters"?
That's a pretty serious charge to make on FR.
Given what he has spent in Iowa alone this thing should be in the bag if he was the “Golden One”
Why does he have to burn so much fuel just to maintain his current altitude? That more than anything else is going to become an issue soon. ROI is kicking in for Mitt and the GOP as well...
The procedure is simple enough, and was used to great effect against Rudy supporters, who frankly were easier targets.
Most people react strongly when they are attacked. So if you can goad them with personal attacks, and do so repeatedly, you can get them to lash out, and if they do so with a personal attack, they can be banned.
It’s like how Draco Malfoy gets Harry Potter in trouble all the time.
However, in this case I was being sarcastic, making a little joke. I imagine EV knows that, as EV hasn’t really been missing or anything, just I haven’t hung around in the same threads for a few days.
For the record, I’d rather not see anybody banned, but have no opinion on the matter of those being banned as that is between the owner of the site and the people being banned. I’ve been led to ask for leniency for one or two people in the past, but haven’t done so recently.
EV got the joke. :-)
You know I disagree with you on this point, but I do admire both your commitment to principle, and the manner in which you express that commitment, firmly but fairly.
I’m a born again, bible believing, tongue talker, Jesus Frick Christian and I would vote for Romney.
I used to be a pro choice now I’m a pro life I guess that makes me a flip flapper too.
You really shouldn't get all your information from the Democrat Media. He is running, and he's just getting started. If you have the guts, and can handle viewing a 2 meg pdf, click on my screenname and go to the link at the top.
Maybe, but given the amount of money spent by Mitt vs. the others, who is going to be the most economically viable long term.
This may well come into play for Mitt. How much he is going to have to spend to stay even, or more over to pull ahead all they way through the Primary. What are going to be his costs state by state, and a what point does his “self financing” become a philosophical and emotional liability with the base as well as the candidate himself...
ET, count me in!
If you admire it, follow it. Give up your support for the most liberal Governor in the history of the republic, and support the man who has for decades consistently and courageously stood for the moral principles that undergird our liberty.
SO did I...
Who knows, maybe enough folks will wake up in time and it won’t come to that.
Sorry—should have read *EV* !!getting sleepy. Happy New Year all!
