“I wasnt aware he lied outright about anything.”
Oh really? He called Romney “dishonest” because Romney told the truth about the Huck’s record in Arkansas.
Apparently, you’ll cool with that.

That’s a subjective remark, and I’m fine with that. What do you expect him to say?

Calling someone “dishonest” who is telling the truth about Huckabee’s record is a “subjective remark”?!
What is wrong with you?

Oh good grief. huckabee is the kind who gives Chritianity a bad name. Pompous, self righteous, a downright hypocrit.
But hey, there are suckers who buy his crap I guess.
Shaking my head.

Gotta hand it to the Huckster; he slings mud with a Bible in one hand and a cross in the ‘tuther. ‘course his dirty dealings are matched equally by the Romulan, his million$ and his uncious, pious, slick underdealings. IMHO, both have undermined the missions of both the Southern Baptists and the Mormons.

Could it be that he was low on cash and this was his only way of getting negative ad any air time? In any case, he's a hypocrite... Huckabee has enough money to run adds, from what I understand. He is running ads now. His campaign aides told reporters off the record that he was "white hot" at Romney, this weekend. They were taken aback with his decision to hold back on the "ballistic" option.
...and obviously the easiest candidate for a Democrat nominee to beat, for numerous, OBVIOUS reasons. Be careful who you follow.
Here is where I tend to strongly differ. Mike Huckabee has been appealing to what can be a winning coalition, of traditional Republicans plus "Reagan Democrats" and independence who see American workers and citizens being too manipulated by such things a huge multi-national corporate interests (it's not just illegal immigration, though that's a big part of the actual oppression going on).
Plus, he naturally appeals to women, as well as men.

The "enough is enough" slogan works with Huckabee's claim to not go negative and doesn't seem to make sense for an attack ad on Romney. It was the slogan he was already using, last week.
The irrational fear of Huckabee among FReepers is getting humorous.

Mitt Romney is the tutto liberal de tutti liberali.
There are some problems with Huckabee, but he’s a heck of a lot more conservative than Romney ever was.

Uh, how?
The guy’s a liberal, like it or not. He’s trying to appear more conservative now, but he sure wasn’t conservative when he was governor of MA. And that’s his track record.

It’s not about physical appearance. It’s about obviously having a heart, as opposed to the boardroom ambition of Romney, militance and adultrey of Giuliani, or the curmudgeon-like persona of the other candidates.

Actually I was just joking, but Hucks personality has begun to wear thin, as it seems disingenuous.
It is as though he is most impressed with his slick mouth.
Not appealing at all.

Thanks for reminding us about that! I found the youtube video where Huckabee is sitting by a fireplace stating "enough is enough"
"Huckabee said he had a change of heart just before the press conference and shortly before the ads first scheduled airing at noon today in Iowa."
The point is, he had a "change of heart" from enough is enough over the weekend when he did the Romney negative ad on Sunday and had another "change of heart" a few hours before the press conference.

The dynamics if early caucuses and primaries are very volatile. In the end (or, thusfar) Huckabee maintained his holding back on negative campaigning, while firing a shot across Romney's bow. I like it.

Its smart politics. Every thing that was in the ad was true. Romney is outspending Huckabee 20 to 1 but Huckabee still manages to control and manipulate the media.
Do you know what you call politicians with no money who don’t work the media?
Duncan Hunter, 1% with no chance.

I thought that said “Ed Rollins listless” on a quick reading.
He is such a has-been. Perhaps that is why none of the other Rs running had asked him to join their campaigns.
