Likening Thompson to Ronald Reagan, McClintock said the former senator represents the bold colors of the Republican Party, not pastels. He added: We cant afford to get this election wrong.

I didn't see this posted.
I liked Thompson's response to the question about whether he'd asked for the Governator's endorsement:
"Did former Sen. Thompson ask the governor for his official nod? No, said Thompson before quickly moving on to the next question."

This speaks well of Thompson. He didn’t go for the big name. He went for the solid conservative. Thompson is the real deal.

If we could get Thompson in, I’d be very surprised if he wouldn’t support McClintock firmly during any future election bids.

I sure wish McClintock was our governor right now.
One of the few politicians these days that I have a lot of respect for.

McClintock is a CA hero. He should be governor but you have what you have. Sometimes I think it would’ve been better to let Gray Davis die a natural political death. Arnold has been a disappointment. I expected better. He is an child of Al Gore now. He has joined the pastel rainbow. Some Terminator he has become but that is the problem with those who need to be liked so much that they will change anything they must about themselves and their principles to achieve the attention they desire. That is why those who want positions of power the worst are those who should almost never have them.

Is California in the early primaries ?
If so, does this help Fred in California if Duncan Hunter drops out and endorses Fred ?

Same here..
It sure would be nice if Thompson can take CA from Rudy. I think McClintock carries a good deal of weight among us CA Republicans. At least I hope so....

I know Hunter has a lot of support in his district, which is much of San Diego, but I don't know about the rest of the state. A McClintock endorsement could go a long way.

I hope this endorsement has the same or even bigger effect than the Steve King one did here in IA.
