Thompson said he needed to come in second.

When and what exactly did he say?

I'll tell you this much: if Romney goes in the tank those Romney voters are NOT going to the Huckster.

Well, I have money on a Romney win, but I hope you’re right - you ARE “Always Right”.

Did Fred not offer to suck Rupert’s wand or something? Why is FNC so against Fred?

No he didn’t.
That’s a lie Fox News has been peddling to try to force him out of the race.
Their plan is to suppress his turnout then begin the calls for him to drop out.

Only 2 percent reporting.

It's too bad FR doesn't have threads where when a big event is taking place, a thread could be started so we could all discuss it as it's happening in real time on one central thread.

It could be called a live thread or some such thing.

Thanks for the info. Of course 2% doesn’t tell us much, and is likely to be disproportionately from rural areas. But, if those #’s hold close, it could explain why, if the rumors are true, Romney’s campaign might have pulled that stunt on Fred last night.

Fox News has had it out for Fred from the start because they see him as the primary threat to their hometown golden boy, Rudy Giuliani.

Good question because he said he was NOT dropping out.

Someone set up a live thread a few hours ago - but I can’t find it now.

The 15% democrat minimum is 15% per precinct. If the candidate doesn’t get at least 15% in a precinct they get zip.

I’m not buying this. This is an exit poll designed to depress Paul’s poll numbers.

But why? I’ve noticed that FOX NEWS can’t stand Fred Thompson either, he’s treated just a notch above Ron Paul.
