I agree. If he comes in third, that will be a victory for him.

So there was actually a precinct or two where the Chalupa met the 15% threshold??

The Democrats are pretty well split, 33, 33, 32.....

Thompson said he needed to come in second. Why? It's only Iowa, not Nov. 2008.
To: counterpunch
Smaller towns report first, demographics come into play later.

Thompson did not say he needed to come in second. He clarified today that he was merely giving the “V” for victory sign.

Hey, you didn’t hear me mention it. I’m just sure that someone on this thread is consulting Miss Cleo...
To: Always Right; Brilliant
As always, the quote is out of context. Moving on, Fred was next asked what he would do if he came in third.
Fred replied that he would consider that when the time came. I'm sorry I don't have the exact quote in front of me, but I'm trying to freep and watch/listen to the cauci all at the same time.....and I don't feel like looking up quotes right now.
Fred will not drop out. Brit should be ashamed of himself for perpetuating this canard. He's been sipping the beltway kool-aid too long now with Barnes and Kondracke.

It is evident, they hold Fred in contempt.
They can barely utter his name or his place.
As I type Fred at 14%, 2% above McCain. looking good to me.
To: counterpunch
Droopy dog may have cleared 15% in a few precincts, thus 2% overall.
McCain is now babbling on FOX about how Huckabee ran a great campaign and Romney would fizzle in New Hampshire.

Paul’s numbers are depressed by the competitive democrat contest.
Fewer democrats crossing over to the GOP side to stir the pot up with a vote for Mr. Paul than we would have if Hillary were far ahead.
To: Tennessee Nana
FoxNews has annouced Huckabee the GOP winner and the Dems are close.FoxNews is hoping real hard, but hoping isn't gonna make it so.
