The Untold Story Of The Iowa Caucus - Change In Party Registration
Self | 1/4/8 | Bob from Fairfield

Posted on 01/03/2008 10:22:30 PM PST by Bob from Fairfield

Went to a Democrat Caucus tonight. In my opinion the big, untold story is the huge number of people standing in line with me to register and/or change registration.

In my case, the change is temporary. I participated as a Democrat so I could help push Hillary into third place. How many more like-minded people did as I did?

Two more include my wife and mother-in-law - in their case they did not change registration, but did turn out to help defeat Hilary.

I hope alot!!

but really, truth is, we voters just aint as dumb as hillary thinks we are. Americans can tell a nice guy from a screeching HAG!

The real story is : If she got 29.41% to support her in Iowa, that means 70.59% were against her.

I still can’t shake the feeling that the unknown reason for the Huckabee upsurge at the end of November is (surprise) the Clintons. I believe that Bill and Hill believe that Hillary can beat Huckabee and that’s for whom they are calling in all their friends. The media — they have been rallying this interest in Huckabee by the power of persuasion which the Clintons have designed so perfectly. With Huckabee being from Arkansas, don’t you think they already have hold of anything they could muster?

I trust the Clintons as much as I trust Satan.

Thank you.

This country will be as great as its potential only when we stop sending horrible people like the Clintons to Washington, D.C., and the White House.

Mr and Mrs. Obama aren’t my cup of tea on the issues. Neither are Mr. and Mrs. Edwards. However, they’re much better people than the impeached rapist and his getaway driver of a wife.

I’ve been a registered Flori-duh Dimmo-crat (to quote a fellow conservative friend) all my voting life. I think you’ve just guessed why.

I just don’t think it’s enough. Frankly, even on FR, look how fired up a Brittany or some other celebrity thread can get, while substantive issues get glossed over. Multiply that by a zillion for the average citizen.

****I’m not judging those who enjoy following pop culture. It can be amusing, and we all need amusement. I’m just saying take a look at priorities.****

This is a fine strategy, Bob. Most of my solutions are punishable by law, so more power to you.

Do you happen to know what the numbers were: Dem participants vs the GOP Caucuses? It is hard for me to believe that Obama could draw that many voters in Iowa. He is a complete Marxist after all.

Statewide numbers were something like 110,000 Republicans and 250,000 Donks.

You said — “The real story is : If she got 29.41% to support her in Iowa, that means 70.59% were against her.”

LOL..., that’s just political-double-speak and nothing else.

60-70% of the voters are against every last single candidate running... LOL..

I’ve been thinking the same thing about Huck/Clinton. Especially when I read that Terry McAuliffe said on a news show that he liked Huck. That was today.

First I saw a big Drudge headline awhile ago that said something like “Democrats want Huck to be candidate” then here comes the favorable press about Huck. Huck Huck Huck.

Now tonight.

" I believe that Bill and Hill believe that Hillary can beat Huckabee and that’s for whom they are calling in all their friends. The media"

BINGO !

The media only fears FRed as the candidate who could defeat the Hildabeast.....that's why they ignore him, and belittle him at every opportunity. The MSM controls who is "appealing", and who is "not worthy" in the minds of millions of couch potatoes and kool-aid drinkers in every election.

I do believe that Huckabee is the one guy they can beat. Ruch is right. The MSM will chew him up and spit him out.

I’d sooner see you put your efforts into helping to select a good Republican candidate who could beat her.

The Clintons have to control everything. They have had most control of the media and are working to shut down the others. They have had most control on the ‘Rat Party. No doubt they have had their minions working on the voting systems and having the numbers “turn out” in their favor. And lastly, the Clintons have needed to have control of the opposition; and how to do it? Find the weakest opponent. Prop him up and use their criminal network to prop him up. Have the media tell the people there is a rising star in the Republican Party. He is surging in the polls. Tell the people and they will believe it. Then, at the same time, rake in all the dirt you can and save it until it matters. Then play it. With Huckabee, there is the extra bonus that he is from Arkansas!! Woo-hoo!!! The Clintons utilize connections back home to intimidate, threaten and make up stories, because, once again, the people will believe ANYTHING.

It’s not just the Clintons. Susan Estrogen was grinning like a Chesire Cat last night over the prospect of a Huckabee nomination. IMHO, all three Dim frontrunners could beat him.
