Mother Arrested As Kingston Family Fights Over iPod

KINGSTON A 13-year-old boy, upset Friday afternoon that his father would not let him have his iPod, bit the 46-year-old man and kicked him in the groin before he was joined by his mother in the pummeling.

Kitsap County deputies were called to the house on the 26000 block of Trophy Lane NE Friday at about 2 p.m. following the assault, reports said.

The father said that his son had become impatient because he wanted to use the family's computer to load songs on to his iPod, but the father was using the computer at the time.

The father left the room and when he returned, the son had reset the computer and was downloading songs onto the device. The father took the iPod away and wouldn't let the son have it back, which sparked the scuffle.

During the fight, the son bit his father on the finger in an attempt to loosen the man's grip on the iPod, breaking the skin. Then the son kicked his father in the groin. As they struggled, the 44-year-old wife and mother appeared and tried to determine what was happening.

She punched her husband in the face several times, then she and the son left. The father told deputies she had a history of mental illness and had attempted suicide in the past.

Child Protective Services will get involved, and then the father will really be screwed. Also, if the kid is prosecuted, the parents will have to pay for an attorney to represent the kid in the assault case.

Well, there it is. Unoccupied computer is fair game.

Wow, what behavior in WA state. here’s an article that was linked on the same page as your post:
________________________________________________________
BREMERTON

A 19-year-old woman who beat up her ex-boyfriend Monday after he drunkenly urinated in a closet told officers she hoped he would bail her out of jail because it was the right thing to do for their baby.

Bremerton police were called to the residence on the 1300 block of Warren Avenue at 2:40 a.m. after receiving initial reports that the 25-year-old had assaulted the woman, reports said.

When met by officers, the woman explained that the man had been drinking and was extremely intoxicated when he went to bed. At some point he woke up to use the restroom, but was so confused he urinated in the closet.

This embarrassed him, she said, so he tried to leave. But she wouldn’t allow it.

“I attacked him,” she told the officer, reports said. “He was so drunk that I beat the (stuff) out of him.”

During the “wrestling,” as the man described it, she “repeatedly” kicked him in the face.

The pair also fought over the man’s mobile phone, which the woman would not let him have, and a handful of cash.

At some point, friends of the woman were called and went to the residence. One man, described in reports as being the 19-year-old’s boyfriend, said he wanted to “rescue” the woman.

Upon arriving, at least two men in the group vandalized the 25-year-old’s car while he hid in the yard.

When police arrived, they arrested the 19-year-old woman and booked her into the Kitsap County jail for investigation of fourth-degree assault, third-degree malicious mischief and unlawful imprisonment.

The woman told officers she hoped her ex-boyfriend would come to the jail and bail her out because they “always did what was best for their child,” the report said.

I’d need a flow chart to figure out the relationships between the characters in that story. Sounds like a bunch of hippies to me.

MEMORANDUM

Steve,

That’s a great idea, but I don’t think there is any video footage available. We’d have to recreate it from the police report.

Ball’s in your court.

Sincerely,
Al Flunkie
