Really? Yours didn't prove me wrong? You just saying I lied doesn't really work absent proof. I posted the DOJ stats page. You posted nothing.
Doesn't this make you the liar?

Great there pal, let’s just have moms allow crack into their homes with loads of babies.
This mom wasn’t doing her job which is to provide for and protect her many babies.

This mom wasnt doing her job which is to provide for and protect her many babies. So this justifies the cops shooting her to death over a plant?

Every little burg feels it needs a SWAT to be In The Big Time. The name of it is Prestige. And when you have one you use it.If you don’t have deadly gangs or other reasons you use it anyway. Prestige.

No, and i didn’t say it was there pal so jump to conclusions if you may.
This woman should not have allowed crack in to her home with the babies there. Did she deserve to die?
Probably not. We don’t know the facts other than crack was there with so many kids.
Did the cops need to go in with a swat team? Probably not. Do I have empathy or sympathy for her? NOt in the least.

Back when I was a young kid, I used to think that SWAT squads were a good idea. I remember the old television series.
There is still a place for them, I’m sure, but unfortunately it seems that every LEA in the country has gone full-bore-gonzo with the idea. No knock warrants have abounded in the gleeful paws of nomex-clad-steroid-fueled-muscle-bound strumtruppen armed with the latest in flat-black 9mm death toys.
This, combined with the vile and unconstitutional practice of asset forfeiture, has gutted the constitutional protection against unlawful search and seizure.
It stinks, and there is no two ways about it.

It's also pretty obvious you know nothing of my posting history. Try this thread ~ it's very typical of my positions: http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-chat/1767926/posts

Ruby Ridge is maybe a precedent here? Mothers holding babies are deemed deadly threats.

The cops found crack and marijuana. This wasn't an off-the-cuff raid, but planned out. From my post #50 Lima has a bad drug reputation, which it deserves. And, we need a SWAT team because of the gangs. This happened in a drug infested area. The cop who killed her is devastated, as is the town. There was a demonstration last night, and they are calling for Sharpton and/or Jackson, though it wasnt a racially motivated raid. The crack house had been under investigation for some time. What happened is unfortunate, and after a couple thousand like raids, this is the first time something like this happened. We wont know what really went on until after BCI conducts its investigation. I live here, and hate what is going on.

Ok.... So you haven't thought it through. Take some time.
Think about why we allow our government to run a drug war where people get killed over suspicion of having unauthorized plant matter in their homes.
Try this as an exercise: Replace the word "crack", with "semi-auto AR-15". Maybe then you'll know why some of us are VERY concerned about this crap...

Did they sơt any neighborhoods dogs? Maybe they had to shoot the woman because there were no dogs present.

Thanks Battman, I’m taking a beating on this one. And What I was meaning was precisely what you said.
I do think there are far too many swat teams around but that is not the point here.
The point here is that crack was in the home with many many children. As a mother she should have protected her children from this kind of crap. She didn’t and suffeered as a result of not doing her job as a mother.
I never said she got what was coming as some have indicated.

Being "on parole" or "on probation" is hardly the same as being in the Gulag where 10% died each year.
I know a young fellow who lives in the neighborhood who is "on probation" because of a speeding incident ~ 90 in a 65 MPH zone ~ that carries JAIL TIME in Virginia, so if you are convicted but aren't in jail, you are "on probation".
Can you imagine how many people get jail time for speeding, first time DUI, etc.

Actually, there'd be many fewer prisoners in this country if plea bargaining was abolished. That way the criminals could face the REAL sentences for their crimes, rather than those winkydink sentences for pot possession.
97 million Americans have tried pot. What do you think gives you the right to destroy that many peoples lives? Sounds like you are looking for a Stalin-like cleansing of the unpure.
To: dragnet2
She is to blame for the cops coming to her home by allowing crack in to her home.
Had she been doing her job as a mother I.E. protecting her children then the cops would not have come .
Did she deserve to die? I doubt it.
Was it a good shoot? I don’t know, not enough info yet.

and after a couple thousand like raidsThat's got to be the busiest SWAT team in the nation, for a 40,000 member community. Excuse me, but I'd like to see some statistics supporting your 'facts' on these raids because, quite frankly, they are unbelievable.
