TALK OF HILLARY EXIT ENGULFS CAMPAIGNS Mon Jan 07 2008 09:46:28 ET

Facing a double-digit defeat in New Hampshire, a sudden collapse in national polls and an expected fund-raising drought, Senator Hillary Clinton is preparing for a tough decision: Does she get out of the race? And when?!

"She can't take multiple double-digit losses in New Hampshire, South Carolina and Nevada," laments one top campaign insider. "If she gets too badly embarrassed, it will really harm her. She doesn't want the Clinton brand to be damaged with back-to-back-to-back defeats."

Meanwhile, Democrat hopeful John Edwards has confided to senior staff that he is staying in the race because Hillary "could soon be out."

Key players in Clinton's inner circle are said to be split. James Carville is urging her to fight it out through at least February and Super Tuesday, where she has a shot at thwarting Barack Obama in a big state. But others close to the former first lady now see no possible road to victory, sources claim.

She truly thought she had it sewn up... she underestimated the Dims and Obama.

And all those broken-glass Republicans who crossed party lines and voted AGAINST her in Iowa!

Daniel Hynes who ran against Obama in Illinois in 2004 for the US Senate was remarking on Friday, the day after the Iowa Caucus, about how he went to a caucus site where all these "Republicans and Independents" were lined up, waiting outside, all ready to vote for Obama.

Obama’s gonna need a few more bodyguards.

Somebody who is NOT a Klinton-oid Kool-Aid drinker is reading the tea leaves. Obama was assigned more beefed up security within the last couple of days.

Report: Secret Service increases security for Obama

I see the sudden rise of the Magic Negro as a rejecting (finally!) of the ‘baby boomers’ by the younger generation.

Obama is a boomer

What was his year of birth? I thought he just missed the cusp.

Doesn’t make sense... Clinton was never expected to win Iowa. Not even months ago. Wondering where all these reports are coming from.

He is no different than Red china then if that is so.

I now live in Illinois, and I know relatively little about ‘Bamas votes

Something else that strikes me as odd. Here’s this story that she may pull out of the race, and she hasn’t yet issued a denial that she might pull out of the race.

I think Obama is a bit more radical underneath.

“Does anyone here think Obama is any less dangerous than Hillary?”

Yes I do. Obama will get slaughtered because white democrats are racists. They will stay home rather then vote for a colored person.

White democrats ...(this even goes for the many race baiters on FR) are inherently paternalistic racialist.

they grant blacks no free will...they usurped it from them to sate their own need to feel morally superior to other whites.

in their mind....whites are responsible both for:

black failure

and black success

whites hold the key

I spit on that logic....always will...only blacks can fix black cultural problems and they can if left alone and held to the same standards as everyone else

While I agree counting a Clinton out until you have the votes certified is dumb Clinton is in trouble right now.

Only 31 Superdelegates are comitteed at this point. The Supers care only about winning. The Supers will bail on Hillary in heartbeat if Obahma looks electable. Only Obahma can destroy Obahma now and he looks like he is a fast learner. Never makes the same mistake twice, is carefully vague in his speaking, has no political baggage. Never thought I would see a politician who could out slick Slick Willie!

Obahma also doesn’t make the sort of repeated bone head speaking errors both Al (I invented the Internet) Gore and Bill ( Tell me what you want and I will promise to do it) Clinton use to server up.

To those add the country’s rabidly angry mindset at the political establishment and the almost daily meltdowns in Hillary’s camp with stupid gaff after gaff and the Supers are going to be looking to Obahma to “save them”.

The only thing the Supers care about is winning. Obahma looks like a winner, Hillary’s astronomical negatives make her look like a loser. The Supers are all ready scare the Clinton legacy will mean Hillary will be a candidate with negative coattails down ticket.

Hillary is in a whole lot of trouble but news of her demise is just wishful thinking or a clever bit of Edwards or Obahama campaign disinformation at this point.

Aren't those two mutually exclusive? How do you leave someone alone and hold them to standards?

They will stay home rather then vote for a colored person

More Democrats then ever before showed up in lilly white Iowa to vote in the cacuces. Most of them voted for Obahma.

Don't count on the Democrat party's inherent racism to stop Obhama. He is the perfect "House Black" in their plantation mind set. He speaks and looks and sounds like them. He is "almost white" to them.

Democrats will nominate Obahma and he can win. We are in the fight of our lives for 2008. People should not doubt that for a minute.

Wondering where all these reports are coming from.

The opposition camps. Edwards probably Obahma possibly. I think some of this is also payback. The "News Media" has a love hate relationship with the Clintons.

They really hated being used during the 1990s to save Bill. Now that they have a possible alternative Saviour in Obhama, who is far closer to their inherent political Leftist-ism, then the Clinton have been. Some of them may see this as their chance for payback.

Leftists political types, especially those in the US Junk Media, are ego maniacal, nasty, spiteful, childish and vindictive. The only thing that keeps them working together is their irrational fear of us brutish knuckle dragging neatheral "rightwingers".

There are a lot of media Democrats who will stick a knife in Hillary's back if they think it will not cost them politically.
