NEW HAVEN, Conn. -- New Haven's Vietnam War Memorial has been hit by vandals for the second time in two weeks.
Both times, the memorial on Long Wharf was defaced by a spray painted message touting a violet street gang known as MS-13.
Police said the gang, with roots in El Salvador, is not known to be active in New Haven.
City officials said they are considering putting up cameras near the memorial to help protect it from future vandalism.
No arrests have been made. The city plans to clean the monument on Monday.
They’re paying their taxes! LOL
I still have to wonder if this isn’t the work of the anti-war left.
A “violet” street gang...is that worse than a purple one?
All joking aside, kill the next batch of thugs trying to deface the memorial...and it won’t happen again...

I did take these pics after the first time. Some folks had started to clean it up before I got there, but you can still see the damage. Note the MS 13 in the brick:

Brilliant! If you wanna catch somebody, you don’t announce that you’re installing cameras! You put ‘em up as quickly, and as quietly as possible, and catch the jerks. Sheesh! “City officials” are completely brain-dead!
I think that is a fine idea and I am 100% sure of it.
A vigil isnt need. Just wait in the shadows when these POS are doing their thing, then ...waterboarding time.
The cops dont need to hear about this (wink).
