It was the best I have ever seen him look and sound.

He did well. (of course his statement about being the only consistent conservative is nonsense)

I don’t know about the “best”, but he did well on the segment. Especially since he was on the bloviators show.

Very impressive understanding of the issues in Pakistan.

Compare that to hillary, who mistakenly said that Musharref is running for election, which we should step in and delay. Her understanding of Bhutto is limited to the fact that she was a woman and therefore must be admired and avenged, despite her known corruption and incompetence. And, of course, she thinks that the U.S. should join with other nations in interfering with the Pakistani governmental processes, because we know better than they do.

How refreshing to listen to a grownup for a change.

Outstanding, you have found the correct way to address Fred in the news and plug a great congressman and yours and my first choice for president. I had given up on Duncan but crashing the Scarbourgh show and calling a press conference to announce he was NOT getting out of the race (to rub the MSM nose in it) has proven he still has some fight in him!

The most amazing thing is BOR was not constantly talking over him.

Rush said today:
“My question for you evangelicals is this. If you’re looking for a real conservative, why are you supporting Huckabee? He’s completely discredited himself. What about Fred Thompson? If you’re looking for a real conservative. Huckabee is constantly engaging in class warfare against the producers. This laid-off line, it’s an attack on Romney, but it’s an attack on producers. It’s an attack on employers. It’s pure populism. He does oppose school choice! You don’t get the NEA endorsement in New Hampshire by supporting school choice.”

GO FRED!

Yes, Hunter is a more consistent conservative than Fred. But we all know why Fred didn't mention him. I doubt Fred would even be running for President, if Hunter were doing at all well in the polls.

Sigh.

Probably true. But Hunter still has a few weeks to make the case. As does Fred.

I think that is a stretch. He was good but I wish he would pronounce his words! Otherwise i thought it was funny that Bill said that the reason he thought Hillary would win the nomination was because he knew them...Fred did not dispute that too much. Makes you wonder. Anyway, I would be pleased to have Fred the next President, but Romney would be outstanding too.

Really!!! I missed this!! Spent the evening at Hannah Montana concert....loud, screaming... Missed Fred on BOR???? One day last week, Jeri called him and he spoke to her on the phone, and he interrupted her so often, and cut her off so much the audience couldn’t possible have figured out what she was saying. At that time, I dropped him an email to mention that, and that if Fred wouldn’t answer a question in a debate because they weren’t allowing enough time, it could be he didn’t want to be interrupted in mid sentence and that may have been why he wasn’t already on the show. I’m surprised to hear he was on it, and that he did well. I’m very glad to hear it. Now I must watch the video, I guess.

O'Reilly was respectful of Fred, let him elucidate, didn't talk over him, didn't toss any trap zingers and crammed a number of topical issues into the time alloted.

I may now take Bill off my verboten list. I haven't watched him since the night he dissed Free Republic.

Fred was great, as usual......and ended with a quip.

He knows from show biz to always leave 'em laughing. President Reagan knew this, too.
