Don’t lie John. They have you on tape saying that you support amnesty.

Heard it on Rush.

With our guv here in MN suddenly renewing interest in crimaliens here, I have to think he’s full of crap when he comes out backing McCain.

(I like what T-Paw is saying,I just doubt he’ll really do anything.)

I have been an interested observer watching how we are savaging every Republican candidate on FR. “Mc Cain is for Amnesty”; “Huckabee is a sociolist”; “Rudy is a Liberal”; “Romney is a flip flopper (Which he is). If you eliminate all of them, that leaves Fred who seems to be going out of his way to not win (He is now is S. Carolina where he might finish 3rd if he is lucky). So if you toss them all out, that leaves us with the nut Paul and Duncan Hunter who is great, but doesn’t stand a chance. So guys where do we go from here? Do we all suck our thumbs and let Barack Hussein Obama become the next President? I think we need to quit eating our own and concentrate of exorcising the real devil (Obama).

Isn’t it interesting that in the world of politics you can support any damn thing one day and if you get smacked in the head by the voters change your mind the next day?

He is too old ... 72 is just not a ripe old age, it allows you to conveniently forget where you were and what you said. AMNESTY man will never succeed.

Thompson needs to attack McCain on his position on immigration. Thompson's in fourth place in South Carolina in the primary polls. He could use this quote:

“I think we can set up a program where amnesty is extended to a certain number of people who are eligible … Amnesty has to be an important part ...”

But when you examine the issue of accruing credit toward Social Security benefits, it’s clear that the first part of McCain’s response above is also a lie. Look specifically at his 2006 bill — on May 18, Senator Ensign introduced an amendment to bar work done while illegal from counting toward eligibility for future Social Security benefits for the amnestied illegals (see the amendment and vote tally here). The amendment was not some minor procedural measure that could be misinterpreted, or an omnibus measure with hidden provisions; it was a clear-cut, up-or-down question, — should illegal immigrants committing identity fraud receive Social Security benefits based on that fraud? Contrary to what you might conclude from all his huffing and puffing on the campaign trail, McCain’s answer at the time was “yes.”

Nail hits hammer. Dead center.

John "amnesty aint amnesty" McCain is doing what Huckabee has been doing about his record - lying about it to get away from people finding the truth.

McCain is wrong, very wrong, on immigration. And he's not learned his lesson. ... Hope the lesson is given to him today.

McCain seems to operate in this weird universe where he believes his own words and actions won’t be recalled by the same voters he routinely mocks on MSNBC.

Its pretty bizzare, when you think about it.

McCain is a lying lib. ....and a perpetually angry one, too. Amazing that he thought he could co-author liberal legislation with two of the biggest liberals in the Senate (Kennedy and Feingold) and think it wouldn’t hurt him in the GOP primaries. Arrogance combined with near-complete political tone-deafness.

I suppose we are expected to have understood his “path to citizenship” for illegals to mean something other than AMNESTY!? If you don't plan to "round them up" for deportation, you plan on allowing them to stay indefinately.

Although he hasn't been clear on what price he'd put on US citizenship, RINO McCain proposes having them pay a fine and they have instantly redeemed themselves of a FELONY...which is AMNESTY:

Amnesty (from the Greek amnestia, oblivion) is an act of justice by which the supreme power in a state restores those who may have been guilty of any offence against it to the position of innocent persons. It includes more than pardon, inasmuch as it obliterates all legal remembrance of the offence. The word has the same root as amnesia.

Everyone in California, please remember that if you are registered independent/non affiliated you can no longer vote a republican primary ballot. You must register republican first if you want to vote for any republican in the primary in February. You have until Jan. 22 to change your registration.
