Nope, O.J. and Valerie Plame's hubby!! Maybe in the remake. ;~)

Doesn’t anyone else find this a bit odd? Do you really think those tiny Iranian boats would offer some serious provocation of our huge ships? What’s in it for them?
Methinks we sometimes trust our government a bit too much. Is Bush looking to start something?
To: Pining_4_TX
How big do you think the boat was that damn near ripped the Cole in half?

USS Cole after an encounter with a harmless looking little boat.

Yes, but that wasn’t a direct confrontation, that was a sneak attack. What could the Iranians possibly hope to accomplish by a direct provocation? And please don’t say they are just nuts. Even though Aqua-velva-dab, or whatever his name is, is a bit off, doesn’t mean every Iranian wants to start a war with the US. It couldn’t possibly have any benefit to them. None.

We should have bombarded the Iranian’s boats with pork chops.

I believe Iran was goading us into firing upon them so they could then get political mileage out of the MASSIVE US WARSHIPS firing on itty bitty little Iranian coastal defense dingies. Geopolitics of course and maybe trying to interfere with US politics like they did with the hostages in 1979.

Well first of all they may be nuts but more likely they have a very skewed view of the world. However, I believe that this attack was an attempt to bait us into killing them so W's visit would be clouded. The odd thing is Bush is actually moving to doing away with Israel and since that is one of their goals I do not understand why they want to disrupt his visit. Like I posted earlier if I had been in command I would be under arrest and one my way to arraignment. There would be a few less Iranians in the world and my crew would be safe and hopefully the Iranians would consider it a bad idea to mess with US ships.
Those boats were fast enough that if they had been on suicide mission they could of swarmed and probably damaged a ship.
