Iran Says U.S. Navy 'Fabricated' Video of Gulf Confrontation With Attack Boats

TEHRAN, Iran — Iran on Wednesday called video and audio released by the Pentagon showing Iranian Revolutionary Guards boats confronting U.S. warships in the Strait of Hormuz "fabricated," a state-run television station reported.

"The footage released by the U.S. Navy was compiled using file pictures and the audio has been fabricated," the English-language channel Press TV quoted an official in the Revolutionary Guards as saying.

The report did not give the name of the Revolutionary Guard figure and did not offer more details about how the official knew the footage was "fabricated."

The Pentagon on Tuesday released a four-minute, 20-second video that included audio showing small Iranian boats swarming around U.S. warships in the Persian Gulf. In the recording, a man speaking in heavily accented English threatened, "I am coming to you. ... You will explode after ... minutes."

The Iranian boats appeared to ignore repeated warnings from the U.S. ships, including horn blasts and radio transmissions, according to the video, which was shot from the bridge of the destroyer USS Hopper.

The Iranians are Clintonesque in their deceitfulness.

I was just reading that on the Foxnews site, but they don’t have a link to the full video. Does anybody have a link to it?

We should have “fabricated” their boats being blown out of the water!

I wouldn’t mind “fabricating” a mushroom cloud over mecca.

They’re right...those huge warships were CGI. And the boats were R/C controlled.

Then they won’t mind if we “fabricate” some bullets to sink those fabricated boats the next time they use them........

Great they want proof now....

How about some very wet Iranian sailors and pieces of disintigrated attack boats?

In this day and age you’d think the Navy could afford some good video equipment for cases like this.

This was a crew member shooting this. Was this done as procedure or did the crew member want to get this for home movies? If it was official, they need someone who knows how to tape, and they should be suitably equipped.

You’re seeing what the Navy chose to release which most likely came from a crewmembers’ personal camera. Better stills and video exist but you, and the world for that matter, don’t have a need to know, yet.

The Navy needs people to tape encounters? That is ridiculous.

First, the perpetuators are going to claim the video is fake no matter HOW professional it was done.

Second, the Left Wing America haters would believe anything the enemy says anyway before the Navy no matter how professional the videos.

Third, 80% of America trusts the military already and no matter what you do or say the remaining 20% will never be convinced of anything.

Fourth, everytime something like this happens, the Left Wing cries GULF OF TONKIN! They did it when the Brits were captured, they did it when we accused Iran of providing explosives to insurgents, they did it when we captured Iranians in Iraq, they did it when Israel knocked out a Syrian nuclear installation, and they are doing it NOW as they call these videos fake............
