Bashing Christians isn’t going to win any votes for Fred. Don’t fall into the MSM-Democrat plan to divide and conquer the Republicans.

There's a lot more Christians against Huckabee than for him.

Yes, but are they as motivated to vote for Fred? I hope with Mark Levin and Rush's frontal assault on McCain and Huck, that they can start to fall and Fred rise. It defies reason for anyone to believe that Huck and McCain are anything but ultra left Socialists. McCain would want nothing less than to screw conservatives. I pray McCain and Huck are repudiated in the South. The MSM is Hell bent on pushing these Socialist down our throats.

I forgive you for presumption. If you had read all my posts you would know that I am a Christian. Just not a dumb one.

Hunter’s criticism of Thompson over this issue is well aimed. We need someone in the white house who isn’t a johnny-come-lately on this issue.

.... Yes, but are they as motivated to vote for Fred?

As I seem to recall Fred was the one back along about August or September of last year or somewhere along that timeline said he wasn't going to court the christian conservative right, that if they wanted to support him they could find their way to his door or words to that effect. He more or less stuck his finger in their collective eyes. Real bright?!?

I initially started out wanting to support Fred but he has been false starting, stumbling, bumbling and gaffing his way ever since he first started talking about running last year and it has only marginally improved since then. He still continues to give the impression (to me at least) that his heart just isn't in this race.

What? Fred clearly stating his plans and polices AGAIN?

I want to know how he’s doing in the polls. What TV show was he on today? What did the pundits say about Fred?

Don’t bore me with positions and strategy. I want Fred kiss my rear end so I can vote for him...as long as everyone else I know is voting for Fred.

I don’t want a President with a clear PLAN! I want a President who’s had Botox!

LOL. Perfect.

I know, I am fed up to here (you can't see me, but trust me it's up there) with the incessant whining about and bashing of Fred, especially by pundits and people that call themselves conservatives. Sheeeesh.

“I’m not finding any mention of addressing the anchor baby situation, did I miss it?”

Like you say, pgkdan, he will focus on things he can accomplish. Any candidate who claims they can do anything to easily change the anchor baby situation is making a very empty promise. To change this will take years and years.

I don't think you can correct that abuse short of an amendment to the Constitution.

There is a cure for that kind of thinking.

But there are some people who just don’t delve into the past activities of people running for office and make their political decisions based on perceived commonalities or emotions.

That is definitely true. My hope is that fellow Christians will want to be better informed before they vote.

I, too, was looking at Huckabee at one point thinking, "Heeey..." Then I actually did a little research. This Bible-believing, born-again, fundamentalist, Jesus FREAK is NOT a Huckabee supporter--no matter how HARD the MSM and the Christian press try to push him on me.

Unfortunately, Fred doesn’t have a chance in SC. I’m sorry, I wish he did - but he doesn’t. The next best choice is Mitt Romeny, IMO.

BIG AMEN there, brother!
Thompson is the only REAL conservative in this race with a chance of winning at this point. I would love to support Hunter, but right now, we have to get Thompson a win in SC, or the Right’s cause is cooked in the general election. There’s no chance Huck will win against HillObama.

This immigration white paper has some merit to it. It emphasizes attrition which is vital. It limits chain migration, which is vital.

It's going garner a lot of opposition from liberals though, because it would be so effective in eliminating illegal immigration. Those illegals who have been in the U.S. who have children would be exempt but I can see that fact could be used to dampen the liberal uproar.

As far as getting Fred elected, this should definitely help because he needs a good issue he can sink his teeth into.

Sounds great, now Fred just has to keep himself well-caffeinated and somewhat interested in the whole thing.
