You still have not addressed those matters of policy that you find Fred lacking in, and I, for one, would enjoy the debate.

Fred’s strategy really came into sharp focus tonight. He’s obviously a RevWar buff and decided not to shoot till he saw the whites of their eyes. Then he blasted away !
And it was Hucky Cheese who couldn't handle the truth.
The Dumond Controversy in his post debate talk with H&C had him angry and close to a sweat even his Toporol couldn't control.
The shame is the pedantic, Liberation Theologist, should his supporters get the nomination will get solidly creamed. He's the Democrat's dream candidate.
There's a reason this website is a Conservative website, one that whose contributors are Conservatives. That's not just a fashion one adopts, it's a set of consistent principles. The reason Fred Thompson did so well tonight, though he was cheated for face time, is because he articulated those principles.
It was entertaining to see him go after Hucky Cheese, especially on those touchy little points that forced him to change the subject, the ones that had him bravely fighting back, but betrayed by his body language as terrified of discovery, over rehearsed and inauthentic.
That is where you are wrong. The height of bad judgment is to spend millions of dollars as the other candidates have wasting money to gain an advantage that is quickly evaporating. I think it reflects on how they are likely to govern. Be a part of the solution instead of criticizing timing. Fred is going to win South Carolina if people like you stop trying to deflate the lone 360 conservative on the stage tonight.

To be perfectly honest, I was a Thompson guy when he first announced. No lie! But now I am convinced that as things are he doesn't stand a chance. Further, I'm sorry to say that he hasn't done anything to earn my vote here in Michigan.

I noticed something in the Luntz focus group...about 6 people switched their votes to Fred Thompson at the end of the debate.
There was about 20 people in the group...that’s a 30 percent swing.
Enough to win easily, assuming he had a few voters already. Not statistically relevant, but the first indication of effect the debate had in SC.

All he did was tell the truth. Huckabee may be a Republican, but he is running on the Dem Party platform.
I'm also amused by this kind of name calling, but for a completely different reason than the Huckabee (or other candidates whose name is not Fred Thompson) bashers. It reminds me of that kind of elementary school level, mob mentality that kids would use when ganging up on an unliked classmate. They thought themselves so clever then, and congratulated each other for their name calling. Funny how it doesn't hold up after all these years.
