Did anyone else notice how FoxNews Channel folks cut off Thompson’s applause and started the next person’s question over Thompson’s applause??
I was getting ticked.

This is the Fred I thought we would see from Day one.
I think the main reason he should have gotten in earlier was to get his sea legs in debates, press interviews et al. He finally is getting the right tone, but it would have been nice to see it earlier.
Who knows though.
Thompson is on the rise. Now we have to attack McCain. Those McCain people in that focus group were real asses.

This was the Fred Thompson everyone was waiting for. He projected very, very well. He was very much in command with his delivery, he was concise and yet had more depth and substance than any of the others. Much more aggressive as opposed to NH where he seemed almmost disinterested.
Fred really had a command presence this evening. He also seems to do much better when he’s standing as opposed to sitting. He’s definitely more of an imposing figure when they’re on their feet.
The Fox SC focus group stated this is what they had hoped for when he originally announced. He’s gonna change those SC polls. Seems like momentum is shifting, his fundraising since this afternoon has gone into overdrive.
He’s the one and only! Good job President Thompson!
I didn’t catch the debate but I heard Fred on Hannity’s show today and Mark Levin’s show a week or so ago. He came across very strong on both occasions and he makes a lot of sense. I think he is a great candidate.
McCain is FDT’s friend. Don’t count on seeing them attack each other any time soon.

Fred pointed out that he disagreed with McCain’s Amnesty bill.
He is clearly ready to fight the good fight against whoever he has to.

I tell you....seeing Fred and the seriousness in which he answered those good questions...was such a breath of fresh air. Finally, someone taking this seriously and the future of the US seriously...AND the future of the Conservative party seriously. He makes ALL the other candidates including the leftees look horrible and amateur in nature.
