Name one Republican in the race with a chance of winning that...

Exactly-with a chance of winning. Ol' SParky, careful...you're making too much sense.

It was a great show. Did you also catch his prediction? That by (I think) Super Tuesday it will be between Romney, Thompson, and Rudy. Let’s hope he’s right. Huck and McInsane are not conservatives.

I don't think Rush likes Fred at all, he is just using him. When Anne Coulter attacked Fred in that hit piece calling him Fred Sawyer, what did Rush say to defend him? I may have missed something but I don't remember Rush doing much to promote Fred until it was crystal clear that he had no chance of winning. Now he suddenly likes Fred. Too little too late.

Even now, Rush often mentions Mitt and Ruddy as true conservatives while leaving Fred out. IMO Rush is propping up Fred to take votes from Huckabee in SC. I guess he would rather have McCain than Huckabee as our nominee.

Huckabee never said "the Reagan era is over." Huckabee refers to doing the work of actually putting the Reagan coalition together again, by picking up the working men and women>/b> that the post-Reagan Whigs (my term) have been ignoring.

EXACTLY!

But you see, they can't deal with what he really says, so they have to create a straw man argument.

I have never been more disappointed with Rush than these last couple of weeks. Huckabee may not be conservative enough for Rush, he might not be the right kind of conservative for Rush, but that is far from making him "a liberal."

Bill O'Reilly got it right -- the liberal Republican candidates are Giulliani and McCain. Huckabee and Romney are conservatives. Just not as conservative as Thompson or Hunter.

you must be joking.

Huckster supports the fair tax SCAM because it has a nanny state provision with the prebate that is bigger than the great society. Every month the GOVERNMENT sends you a check for your “needs” tax expenditures. IOW MARXISM.

He consistently raised taxes.

He wants to have LEGISLATIVE mandates as to what people can or can not eat.

HE SUPPORTS ILLEGAL ALIEN AMNESTY.

The list goes on and on and on.

He is just Giuliani with a pro life stand and a stupid gomer pyle look.

Give it up. EVERY ONE of those requires interpretation and allusion.

Listen to what he says, read his positions on his website, he does not support amnesty, he does not support illegal immigration.

Now you can say he has flip-flopped! You can say he has moved to the right on several issues to run for President. That can be argued. Just like Rudy. Just like Romney.

But you do not need to manufacture straw men arguments.

Which is why the youtube videos with Huckabee being pro-amnesty and pro-illegal alien IN HIS OWN WORDS FROM HIS OWN MOUTH were posted there.

Huckabee wants to give illegal aliens amnesty, get used to it.

An endorsement by Rush and Hannity (for Thompson) ... What is Rush waiting for????

Rush was really heaping positive words and phrases on Romney yesterday, following that cool monologue.

Yes, he did slip in several positive references to Fred, but he was very supportive of Mitt.

Rush and Hannity give support by the phrases and guest they feature. They don't 'endorse' usually, although in these perilous times they might.

It's almost all voice inflection, and phrasing. That's the key to whom they support.

Rush prefers Fred and Willard, in that order.

I think its the other way around, especially after yesterday's fabulous show where Rush was essentially heaping praise and support on Romney.

Yes, he got in one perhaps two positive references to Fred, but even I, a Romney supporter, was surprised at how far Rush went yesterday in promoting the praises of Romney.

I believe Rush is like many of us. We identify with Fred on the issues. We love the man, but we are not blind.

We can see that Fred is long of tooth. He doesn't seem to have the stamina, the oomph.... the fierce drive necessary to fight not only the lib-Dem media machine, but then to govern eight long hard years after that.

Perhaps it is his laid back southern style. Perhaps it is his recent bout with lymphoma which slows him down.

Whatever it is, it is disconcerting to many of us, me included, who was hoping for a lot more from Fred.

Hey, I still like Fred immensely but the low poll numbers are saying what unfortunately is obvious, that people are scared of backing Fred to the hilt.

Huckabee and his supporters want our party back.

Reagan and GWB ran for office as lovers of America, and then remained extremly proud and supportive of their Christian faith once in office.

Huckabee is running for office to promote and show off his Christianity, and the thought of improving American just seems like an afterthought.

Well, Rush, just lay back, pop a few more pills, take it easy, and dream about your next divorce.

Gee, that's mighty "Christian" of ya....

My walk with God convinced me to respect Jesus' admonition: "He who is without sin may cast ...."

I'm sure you know the verse, and its ending, although it is something you probably don't take to heart.

I heard Rush, the Democrat analysis to Johney comes marching home was good analysis, although it did seem a bit like the a rehashing of what I had read on Drudge in the morning.

The irony of Rush is that he is using drive by tactics and analysis on Huckabee.

Huckabee’s mistake with Rush is that he defended McCain in the debates. Anyone which defends McCain will see the ire of Rush no matter what their positions are. The unconstitutional McCain-Feingold bill pludged the FEC into bizzarre rulemaking. Rush is justifiably ticked at McCain-Feingold.

The irony is that since Rush dislikes McCain so much, that when Huckabee defended McCain (wasn’t defending McCain-Feingold) in the debates, Rush began to use drive-by analysis, the very thing which he says he is against, on Huckabee.

Rush in his CNN interview said his support would be the one of the front runners. he was being coy but I think Rush is doing what we are doing we are eliminating the unacceptable completly.

The Huckabees, ronpauls, giulianis and mccains who are just “no way” candidates.

That leaves the good, ok, and live with candidates.

Huckster was an idiot but he is investing in the out of touch evangelicals.
