We’ve got one sorry list of GOP candidates this time around. Can’t even beat Obama, probably won’t be able to beat Hillary.

A ham sandwich could beat either of them. But not the current GOP field.

McCain is leading in the Suicide State?

Sorry, Oregon is a beautiful place, but the politics there are very strange.

This far out from the election, these polls are meaningless. They are pure garbage and leftist propaganda to scare the base and think McCain is the only choice. I am sick of it. The reality is that McCain would probably damage this Republic more than the Democrats. At least with the Demos, there would be token opposition in the Congress. Does any honestly believe that McCain wouldn't seek Teddy's advice on S.C. nominees??

McCain is the worse person running on either side. At least Hillary and the others have the decency to run on the Democrat ticket. If McCain had any decency at all, he would change parties.

As I have stated, absolutely nothing on this Earth would every get me to cast a vote for that vile and utterly corrupt man, McCain.

Great, if he weren’t a liberal I’d be pulling for him.

McCain might not be the worst person on the Republican side. I'm afraid he would get stiff competition from the amnesty-pushing, global-warming Jimmy Carter lookalike Mike Huckabee.

I'll be voting third party if either one is nominated.

Oregon is a blue state. It's not likely to go for any Republican

McCain's "victory" is within the margin of error.

McCain does well there because he is a liberal.

Voting for McCain in the primary because he might possibly on a long shot carry Oregon is idiocy.

I am with you on that. The are both bad, but McCain with his AGW obsession and they way he treated Conservatives with his rants call them racists over immigration, left me quite angry with him. Either one would destroy the GOP, damage our Republic, and treat the Constitution as irrelevant if elected.

I do not for the life of me understand this “Obamamania”.
An ultra-liberal does well in swing and even red states? i do not understand this
he says nothing of substance and has been in office 3 years half the time running for President
yeesh

If you’re referring to The People’s Republic of Oregon, that should tell you everything you need to know! Communists!

This is crazy. We aren’t going to win Oregon anyway. I am not going to vote McCain so that Oregon goes Republican. Sorry. All that those results say is that everyone on the Republican side is more conservative that McCain.

Oregon is not a deep blue state. Bush only lost it by a few point in 2004, and by a few thousand votes in 2000.

You can call McCain a liberal if you like - I won’t argue your opinion. But when candidates are losing by 15-20 points in a state that the GOP normally loses by 2-4 that should tell you something.

“We aren’t going to win Oregon anyway.”

That’s the wrong approach to an election IMHO. Oregon is one of the purple states that is winnable.

No one is asking you to vote for McCain - but take notice of the margin of loss by the other candidates (esp. Romney). They are losing by gigantic margins in a state we normally lose by a handful of points.

It is really a shame for states that will vote
for the most left wing candidate have any voice
in selecting the Republican candidate because
it always goes for the liberal Kennedy wing of
the GOP.
