The question was whether Clinton could beat nobody.
As the only leading Democratic contender to keep her name on the ballot after Michigan officials moved their primary ahead of the opening date scheduled by the Democratic National Committee, Clinton was perfectly positioned. She had no serious opposition. She also had the strong support of top Michigan Democrats such as Governor Jennifer Granholm and U.S. Senator Debbie Stabenow.
With most of the ballots counted, the New York senator was winning uninspiring 55 percent of the Democratic primary vote.

I’m not thrilled with either but no one could ever convince me either wouldn’t be 10,000 times better then any Democrat.
McCain won NH because he is a kinda favorite son who regained momentum by beating Bush there in 2000.
Romney won Michigan because he campaigned hard and has strong ties.
Kristol then mentioned Fred and his recent uptick in the polls. He thought Fred could win because SC is more conservative and Fred has been working hard there.
I think the main thing is all these news organizations don't get out much. They party together, discuss politics together and have no idea whats going on in the real world outside NY or Washington.
Add ~9% to that.
Nine per cent became cross-over voters when the Dims were directed to vote for Romney over McCain.
Romney won by ~9%.
Millions spent at cross-over-voting states, and there's still no light at the end of the tunnel. There oughta be a law. :(
You’re whole post is right-on, especially the first sentence. Fred Barnes really IS a moron.
That he is. LOL
He's been working at it for the last four years by dissing talk-radio and the conservative blogs. His Dole/Kemp Republicanism can go straight to hell as far as I'm concerned.
Personally, I'm not convinced that a date rape by a Marxist Republican would be significantly better than a parking garage rape by a Marxist Democrat. At least with the latter we'd all understand very clearly that we need to fight for our liberty with every last fiber of our being.
According to the MSM prior to the Polls closing, it would be bad news if Hillary got less than 60% of the vote.
As Hilary fell below the 60% mark, the MSM talking heads went silent on the issue.
FOX is ‘Anybody-but-Fred’...
That is so true, and so bizarre. Why do you think that is?
I simply couldn’t believe how that idiot Steve Doocey cut off Thompson this morning. As if we care what Doocey THINKS.
Sheesh.
McCain won in New Hampshire because democRAT crossover voters, and liberal independants voted for him. Thankfully, there are a lot of primaries coming up that don't allow cross-over voting.
I saw that too, and thought it was one of the most bone-headed things that Doocy has ever done. Fred Thompson handled it well, but it was an exceptionally sour and awkward moment from the news station that claims to be “fair and balanced”. Steve ought to apologize, IMO.

I sent an email along those lines this morning.
Fred Barnes has become laughable—last week he firmly said that Huck won the SC Debates.
Steve must have been blasted by emails shortly afterward because he quickly apologized for cutting off Fred. Fred’s segment was interesting, too, regarding Huck’s push polling and asking if Huck was McCain’s stalking horse. Earlier on cue, they sure yucked it up with the Huckster. I caught the last few segments where he whined about how HE wanted to win.
‘Steve must have been blasted by emails shortly afterward because he quickly apologized for cutting off Fred.’
It was ‘how’ he cut him off, basically marginalizing Thompson, that I found irritating as hell.
The guy (Doocey) is a Lightweight.
It was rude...shame on Steve. Like I said, I’m sure he will hear from Fox fans.
It told me what that lightweight thinks of Fred Thompson.
An interesting power struggle continues to unfold within the democrap party. The power brokers have been blackmailed into supporting her. The Clintons have spent years twisting arms - you want money, you support her when she runs. They have placed their goons in the DNC upper echelon.
But the grassroot democraps know she’s toxic. Illegal campaign fund issues still plague them (Hse, Jinnah), she’s playing dirty smearing Obama (drugs in his past, etc), the banks and banks of telemarketers making push calls, where they pretend to be taking a survey but are simply slandering Obama & Edwards, they know she has a litany of sewage as her 35 years of experience (white water, billing records, Foster death, Bill’s admin was riddled with convictions and indictments, pardon deals, Juanita Broaddrick and all the sexual assault charges, all her lies and changes if position, etc... They want to win so bad and see Hillary as the most likely to lose...
So the grassroots wants her out and the DNC power players want her in. Money usually wins, but if the MSM really gets on the grassroots side, the bitch may lose the nomination.
There was her first mistake.
I used to love Fox and Friends, but haven’t watched it in about a year They were getting on my nerves too much. I’m floored, though, that they’re so against Thompson.
