Let him who desires peace prepare for war.

As far as I’m concerned, the Department of Defence is the ‘Dapertment of Peace’;

Should the DOJ be re-christened the “Department of Love”?

He’s also a Muslim, BTW. You know, “religion of peace” and all...

“Dept of Peace” proposal from an adherent to the “religion of peace.”

Makes perfect sense - in a sick, twisted, muslim sort of way...

The Soviets defined "peace" as "an absence of opposition to world communism."

The Khmer Rouge had their own definition, the peace of the grave. The fields were very peaceful once the killing was over.

The pacifist is as surely a traitor to his country and to humanity as is the most brutal wrongdoer.

I thought the whole “Dept of Peace” idiocy was thought up by Dennis K, AKA Marvin the Martian.

A Democrat, a Muslim and a Kucinich-ite

From Kucinich’s website:

http://kucinich.house.gov/Issues/Issue/?IssueID=1564#Legislation%20to%20Create%20a%20Department%20of%20Peace

On September 14, 2005 Congressman Kucinich introduced H.R. 3760 (first introduced July 11, 2001) a bill to create a Cabinet-level Department of Peace and Nonviolence which embodies a broad-based approach to peaceful, non-violent conflict resolution at both domestic and international levels.

Liberals in Seattle have "Department of Peace" bumperstickers plastered all over their cars.

Then again, Liberals in Seattle are retards.

Peace is what happens when when the cost of war is too much compared to the status quo.

Peace is the absence of war. Those dissuaded by war are motivated to other means. Dissuasion is the reason for peace.

“Understanding” never caused peace, unless everyone understood the consequences of war. When the consequences of war are to great, peace is the result. WW III did not happen (as expected) as a result of mutual destruction, not because anyone “understood” other’s principles and ambitions.

Our species is not all evolving at the same rate. “Understanding” at many levels is useless. We are to understand that all Americans are Infidels and that if a Muslim kills one, they get 72 virgins for eternity when they die? What are they to understand? How would you help them understand the flaws in their logic? Where does “understanding” and “peace talks” get us when there is no place to even start on common ground?

Some day, say in a thousand or two more years, maybe we can re-define peace. Maybe evolution and technology will help re-define how conflicts are resolved. Maybe the human race will have “understanding” and tolerance. For now, we feeble humans have to define peace as the absence of war or deadly conflict.

IMO

Piece of what?

Anyhow, as it stands, the acronym would be US DOP...but, if you add a little additional nomenclature to it like any good liberal would be inclined to do...like Engineering or Environ...it would then fully round out to the US DOPE.

Fitting.

Just change the signs in front of the State Department the next time either of them visit. Cheaper than creating a new Cabinet-level department. If they are that stupid, the plan should work.

A TRUE Department of Peace would spend 90% of its time denouncing Muslims nations and tribes for persecution, mass murder and stopping peace on nearly every continent.
