Just called the OkC office....it’s true. I let them know I was disappointed in his endorsement.

“Who do you think Coburn should have endorsed?”

The other senator from Oklahoma, Inhofe endorsed Fred.

It's a very surprising endorsement given Coburn's position on amnesty. He and DeMint co-sponsored an amendment. Interesting info here: Shamnesty on the Senate floor, Day 3; Coburn pushes for full enforcement of existing laws

The Coburn-DeMint amendment addresses the key fear about the Senate immigration bill: that amnesty will first be granted and security provisions will never be fulfilled. <--NO KIDDING.

The rumor is true. He apparently believes in McCain mainly because of two things....Security, ...

Failure to gain control of and secure our borders is the very antithesis of "Security" - Coburn should know better.

... and the fact that McCain has never "earmarked" a bill.

If true, that's "nice", but so what? It is nowhere near the top of the list of issues threatening this country.

Coburn has simply screwed-up. This won't help McCain all that much, but it will damage Coburn's reputation and credibility.

It is what it is. get on board and lets get mccain elected in the general to repeal Roe vs. Wade with some new judges.

John McCain would never nominate a judicial candidate without prior consultation and approval from Chuck Schumer and his other "esteemed Senate colleagues" from the "loyal opposition". Any nominee he submitted would be a pre-vetted, acceptable, compromise nominee. They'd get quick "bi-partisan" approval alright, and they would prove disastrous.

You must admit McCain’s position on illegal aliens is shocking. His pro life stance is mere lip service. He brings to mind the Manchurian Candidate. He even voted against permanently barring violent gang members and terrorists from the US. Shows which side he is on. Even his own son refuses to speak to him.

Graham has like a 92 ACU rating

He will not have that rating this year.

As president he will be catching the al queda dogs.

This might mean McCain would be a reasonably good Secretary of Defense. He can't be a good president of the United States if he continues to be big on "open borders."

He might make a good president of Mexico.

Failure to gain control of and secure our borders is the very antithesis of "Security" - Coburn should know better.

I basically told the guy the same thing...

If true, that's "nice", but so what? It is nowhere near the top of the list of issues threatening this country.

That's what I was told. Would disagree with you though...on that not being a serious issue. Run-away spending...may be the death of us in the long run. Although I agree considering everything...to pick that "issue" seemed odd to me too.

I'm sure there's more to it....

Coburn has simply screwed-up. This won't help McCain all that much, but it will damage Coburn's reputation and credibility.

We shall see...what we shall see.
