If Rush wanted to endorse Fred he would. He has not done so. It would be bad for business and Rush is a consumate professional.
Only if the primaries are over and Mitt is our nominee.
Rush has clearly said he will NOT endorse anybody, and it’s wrong for us to try to pretend otherwise or to put words in his mouth.
No he has not, and in fact has said he finds three candidates acceptable.
It is disrespectful and dishonest to put words in the guy’s mouth. It’s not like Rush doesn’t know how to say what he means.
Gee. I wonder whom that might be? Whats the matter? Cat got your tongue?
Is that the latest talking point from the Huck camp? The Mitt camp?
>> Romney-I could see myself holding my nose and voting for him, but he seems so phony and carefully crafted. I dont know exactly where he stands.
That’s the most accurate assessment of Romney that I’ve seen on here. I cannot site doctrinal problems with Romney ... he is simply so manufactured and rehearsed that I get the feeling he’s telling me what I want to hear, rather than what he actually believes.
H
You mean he hasn’t already? He has had many opportunities to “endorse” Fred just today alone. If he had spent this week extolling Fred, I believe Fred would be leading in S.C. Rush is in the tank for Mitt. So much for standing up for conservatism over all else. Rush has disappointed me.
Where’s the poll that showed Fred up to 19% and Huck down 7% I think...
“Huckabee must be beaten” comes first in my book way, way before McCain.
I don’t think the undecideds break for Huckabee. He’s got his core evangelical support there. So the undecideds will break for Thompson and Romney IF the knuckleheads have the sense to gun for McCain and to remind S. Carolina of his amnesty bill.
The problem with this year is that there is only one conservative in the top tier and if we lose him, everything else is a loss for us. While Rush has said he does not like to hang everything on one candidate, one is all we’ve got. Therefore, I think holding back this time may exact a a high price.
Um...
Ok...
Nope, unfortunately that is the latest poll. McCain is down 4 points, Huckabee up 5 points, Romney up 1, Thompson unchanged from Monday.
It’s getting to where if you really believe the important thing is to stop McCain, you almost have to hope Huckabee can beat him. But then you have Huckabee as a winner. Not good, not good at all.
Maybe the wrong candidate pulled out of South Carolina.
So last week when Rush said (talking about Fred) “Well folks, it looks like we have a conservative in the race”...
...he didn’t mean it?
Whens Huck going to go after McCain?
There is no doubt that Limbaugh favorite candidate is Fred Thompson.
If Rush wanted to endorse Fred he would. He has not done so. It would be bad for business and Rush is a consumate professional.
___________
I read your statement that Rush is a consummate professional to mean that he is not interested in damaging his credibility (earning power) on air by endorsing a candidate who has yet to show that he can attract significant support. Not a knock on Fred, just an observation.
