The radio ad aired by one of Obama's labor allies re-injects ethnicity into the Democratic primary contest in sharp terms.
"Hillary Clinton does not respect our people," the ad says in Spanish (original and Clinton campaign translation after the jump), referring to the lawsuit that failed today to shut down special caucus sites on Las Vegas' strip. "Hillary Clinton is shameless.""Sen. Obama is defending our right to vote. Sen. Obama wants our votes. He respects our votes, our community, and our people. Sen. Obamas campaign slogan is 'Si Se Puede.' Vote for a president who respects us, and who respects our right to vote," the ad says, according to a transcript provided by the Clinton campaign and confirmed in part by a union official.
UNITE HERE Negative Ad (Translation) Hillary Clinton does not respect our people. Hillary Clinton supporters went to court to prevent working people to vote this Saturday that is an embarrassment.
Hillary Clinton supporters want to prevent people from voting in their workplace on Saturday. This is unforgivable. Hillary Clinton is shameless. Hillary Clinton should not allow her friends to attack our peoples right to vote this Saturday. This is unforgivable; theres no respect Sen. Obama is defending our right to vote. Sen. Obama wants our votes. He respects our votes, our community, and our people.
Sen. Obamas campaign slogan is Si Se Puede (Yes We Can). Vote for a president that respects us, and that respects our right to vote. Obama for president, Si Se Puede (Yes We Can).

most conservative REPUBLICAN.......I have never voted Dem in my entire life. my daddy raised me RIGHT!
So you are an enabler, too. If Hillary had an ‘R’ next to her name, you’d be lining up to vote for her.
Obama unabashedly endorsed driver’s licenses for illegals while Clinton dug herself a very deep hole skirting that issue. I guess the Latinos took notice of this.
That is the reason some democrats and sheeple think
he was conservative!
Thanks Newt /S
YOU are unrealistic. I will take the candidate that is most closely aligned with MY platform. YOU are going to saddle us with her though if you jump and vote third party.
So in other words, if one is bit by a rattler and one has only half the required amount of antidote on hand, one should lay down wait for someone to come along with a full vial. Not me , brother
agreed.....once we have the majority on the supreme court, we can begin to purge the party of rino’s, but not until we have the supreme court...with 2 old coots ready to kick off or retire, this is the single most important election in my lifetime anyway...we need the white house and senate...if a purge must begin, start in the house....
A better analogy would be drinking a smaller amount of poison. No, thanks.
And replace it with its own Afro-Hispanic Global Marxist Leadership.
If "we" means Republicans, then "we" already have control of the Supreme Court by a 7-2 margin. Only Ginsburg & Breyer were appointed by a Democrat.
I agree, but they also need to do a much better job of explaining what that means. Reagan was able to portray conservatism in terms of optimism and hope. Republicans, and conservatives in general have let themselves be painted as the compassionless ‘survival of the fittest’ party. Democrats have successfully mischaracterized this as ‘survival of the most selfish, luckiest, and most dishonest’.
Republicans need to do a much better job characterizing themselves as the ‘teach a man to fish’ party of growing opportunities. They should be talking about tax breaks and incentives to reward innovation and encourage the growth of new industries that will provide new opportunities. They need to provide a hopeful vision for the future and a reasonable plan for encouraging the realization of this vision with the smallest government footprint possible.
Maybe I’m not listening hard enough, but I’m not hearing messages of hope. What I hear, from both parties is ‘Things are bad. Elect me or they’ll get worse.’. Hardly messages of hope.
“We” means constitutionalist conservatives, and the court is now 4-4 with 1 swing vote (Kennedy)...the 2 old coots are both hardcore libs....
OK... is a liberal Republican going to appoint Constitutionalist conservatives?
But, I’m lovin’ it. Let the Democratic Party have a full-fledged Civil War and kill each other off (politically) before November 3, 2008.
To quote Howard Dean: YEEEEEEEEHAAAAAAAAAAWWWWWWWW!!!!
Well.......if these hispanics want to vote so badly, and expect to vote in their workplace, they’d better go back to Mexico, where....if their thinking is...the Mexican government takes the ballots to the work place??? hehheh! Yeah...Right...how many times did these people vote in Mexico?
So obaba is NOT playing the race card???? Yeah..Right.
Now with that said, Obama is just cagey enough to do it.
better chance than shillary or obama.....but none will be appointed if we do not have the senate also...this is a key election, and i will hold my nose, if i have to, this last time, and i do mean this is the last time...then i will vote to purge whenever possible...without the supreme court, no progress on the conservative, pro life, anti gay marriage, pro second amendment agenda will be made....case in point is here in michigan, the people voted to ban public funding for abortions, and the us supreme court overturned our election, thereby nullifying our voices and votes...for the pro life crowd out there, listen up...no supreme court, no progress..it’s it and that’s that...remember, a president cannot write or interpret laws...
Roger that. Can you say RB Ginsberg or S Breyer clones on the Supreme Court? I knew you could.
It will be too late to do anything constructive, at that point.
The only reasonable thing to do, in my view, is to get behind Romney. He is a sure bet to win in November, if Republicans are smart enough to nominate him now.
The distressing thing here is that most of our options are essentially open border also. They just have different motives, but the net results will be the same.
For example, McCain is just a Dem that is running in our primaries. As far as illegals are concerned, he is just as bad as the Dems. So far, this campaign has been pretty depressing if one contemplates the end results most of our available choices.
Even more depressing is the apparent IQ level of the average American voter. If you look at the criteria people are using to choose their candidate, you have to wonder how these people are capable of wiping their own rear ends.
