You You You....nevermind. Here's my weather today.

Today Colder. Mostly cloudy with scattered snow showers. Highs 17 to 21 before noon...with temperatures steady or slowly falling the rest of the day. West winds 10 to 20 mph. Chance of snow 50 percent. Wind chill readings down to around 7 below.

Watch the Packers game tommorrow. It'll be 0 F at kickoff and falling thruout the game with a decent wind.

Older folks don't like unfamiliar driving in snow. They stay home and watch TV with an afghan around their legs.

I remember years ago when Atlanta, Georgia was hit by a freak ice storm. The city was virtually shut down for two days. Accident galore because the sothren home folks didn't know how to handle slickness on the roads all that well.

I know because my late mom was on the road from Illinois to Florida to visit me and she had to hole up in a jammed Atlanta motel for three nights. She and other affected travelers whiled the time away by playing pinochle in the lobby.

I don't know who seniors in SC would be voting for in general today, so I don't know who it would hurt or help by them staying home in droves. The turnout is already being reported as light. The seniors like to vote by 1:00 PM. They are the single biggest voting block by age.

Hoping this helps Fred. Demographics show that 54% of SC voters claim they are Southern Baptist. The oldie goldies SBs may prefer the Huckster.

Yup, they love the Huckster, cuz he’ll give them free stuff and an “Amen.”

Makes ‘em feel okay about it.

I from Florida was one of few on two different snow days to go to work at a really big hospital in Marietta Georgia. They didn’t want to mess up their cars,it was amazing. Four wheelers went to pick up necessary workers. And it wasn’t a lot of snow.

You're correct, the storm wasn't that bad. By standards of the Chicago suburbs where I'm from, the Atlanta snow and ice storm was like someone pouring soap flakes out of a Lux laundry box.

Does "Lux soap flakes" date me?....LOL.

BREAKING WEATHER REPORT FOR ALL OLDER VOTERS AND INDEPENDENTS FOR JOHN MCCAIN....

Snow flurries, low visability, fog, and possible icy bridges. Not to worry folks, about your vote. McCain is certain to win by a large margin. So those of you discomfitted by the weather forecast, get hot chocolate or a hot toddy, curl up with an afghan in front of the TV and just wait to see what % McCain wins by.

REMEMBER, YOUR VOTE ISN'T NEEDED!

There! Fixed that problem.

Your McCain "weather report" is very apropos to the thread, Vaudine, and funnier than a snowball in hell.

Hah, I was going to use "Fels Naptha" but I thought I remembered it as bar soap as opposed to flakes. I knew women who used to grate the bars for laundry purposes. Maybe my memory is faulty on this.....no surprise, that was eons ago.
