Ditto’s. I hope the ground swell is enough for Fred to come in 1st. Now that the real poll will be posted tonight it will be interesting to see how the faux polls did.

Fred's supporters in Michigan helped deliver a victory to Romney over McCain. Now Mitt's supporters in South Carolina need to do the same for Fred. Stopping McCain and knocking Huckabee out of the race is a common goal we all share, and only Fred can do that today in South Carolina.
Conservatives unite behind Fred and Mitt.
Fred in South Carolina, Mitt in Nevada!
United we stand, divided we fall.

Thompson will be # 1 or 2 in South Carolina. Hang on and watch. It’s going to be a great ride!
Not going to say where I think Romney will be. (SC)

Works for me. I gravitated toward Romney because my first choice, FRed, didn't/doesn't seem to be getting it done.
I do think and have stated that I think Romney/Thompson can be a winning ticket.
I'd rather be waterboarded than vote for McCain.

You are very welcome. I’ve been warming to Romney a bit. I still have reservations about his record. I just don’t want a big government conservative who is going to promote homosexuality while in office. Also his Health Care plan is a sticking point for me.
That said, anyone who can take down the Huckabee/McCain machine the power to them. Poor Huck is getting desperate.
Running like he wants a part on the Grand ole Opry. Is it just me or is his campaign is taking on a surreality with his bringing in tv wrestlers? I suppose we can be be happy with the knowledge that wrestling is fake.

Fred is my first choice but I think Romney is fine also. I like his private business and government management experience - a smart, successful guy. A Thompson Romney ticket would be great.

It's ironic that Thompson's supporters helped Romney in Michigan. If the "New MSM" had not thrown their weight behind Romney last fall, we wouldn't even be having this conversation.
At best, Thompson would be going into SC with 91 Delegates. At the worst, it would be a two man race, Thompson and Romney.
The New MSM's folly opened the door for Huckabee and McCain.

Great post, Dragon.
I’m a Fred supporter, but I second your sentiment. I see a possibly alliance here, and I’d certainly prefer Mitt to Huckabee or McCain.
Rommney supporters have at least responded to questions about his record. I have my disagreements with him, but I believe his supporters are pretty good conservatives, and I could certainly vote for him in November.
Good luck to Mitt in Nevada!

In the end, I think we are a lot more alike than we are dissimilar and as such a Romney-Thompson alliance only makes sense.
Romneys flipped all over the place, Thompson began, adding that the country needs a president who is honest and has integrity. How are people going to know where you will be in the future, when theyve flipped all over the place.
Not bloody likely you RINO-lovin commie! :)

Romney + Thompson = victory! If you put Thompson at the top of the ticket, I'm fine with it. Fred is Presidential material, and Mitt could deliver a few votes out west in heavily mormon states.
Mitt at the top of the ticket = deal breaker for me. Give him 4-8 years of watching conservative leadership in action, and he might be a servicable candidate.
As it stands, I honestly don't see anything but skin-deep differences between Mitt and Rudy. Both Socialists. Both statists. Both dead wrong on the 2nd Amendment. Both favor an authoritarian nanny-state over limited government. Both would move the party further to the left rather than leading the country to the right. Neither could even deliver their home state in the general election.
Why would anyone support either one over Fred? Regional sentimentality? Identity politics? I really am curious, because I haven't seen anyone make a believable case for Mitt on conservative grounds.
