Psalm 104:34
My meditation of Him shall be sweet;
I will be glad in the Lord.
God of power, splendor, and might, we worship You this day. We exalt Your holiness and Your love, for who is like You, O God? How unsearchable are Your judgments! Who has known Your mind or who has been Your counselor? From You and through You and to You are all things. May Your Name be glorified both now and forever.
We ask You, Father, to have mercy upon America. Show us Your answers for our domestic problems as well as how to respond to Islamic extremists. We confess that You are the source of the wisdom and truth that we need, and we pray for Your hand to guide our President and our legislators. Father, there are some who are ready to sell out America and all that it stands for, so that they may obtain political gain. We confess that You are the answer to every need, Father, and we acknowledge that Your ways and Your truth will guide us out of this path to disaster. Make haste to help us, O God.
We ask You to help our President to be joyful in hope, patient in affliction, and faithful in prayer. Cause his meditation of You to be sweet and precious in Your sight, and may he be glad in You all of his days. May he bless those who persecute him, leaving room for Your wrath; for it is Yours to avenge and You have promised to repay. Grant new understanding and discernment to our President as he listens for Your directions in prosecuting the Iraq war.
Hide our troops under the shadow of Your wings, Lord, and set them on a high place---the secret place where they can be kept free from the evil rantings and desperate actions of those who oppose our nation. Provide for every need that their families have as they await the return of their loved ones from duty.
Father, help us to be anxious for nothing, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, let us present our requests to You. And may Your peace which transcends all understandng, guard our hearts and our minds in Christ Jesus; for it is in His Awesome Name that we offer this prayer. Amen.

READ: Genesis 12:1-9
By faith Abraham obeyed when he was called to go. Hebrews 11:8
My grandfather grew up on the North American frontier and raised his family on a dairy farm. To pass the time, he often sang songs while he worked. Shenandoah was one of his favorites:
O Shenandoah, I long to hear you,
Away, you rolling river,
O Shenandoah, I long to hear you,
Away, Im bound away,
Cross the wide Missouri.
That song reflects the love the pioneer songwriter had for the Shenandoah River. Yet he felt compelled to leave its beauty and go west. His love for the familiar rooted him, but the pull of something better won his heart.
When Abraham was called out of Ur to follow God to the Promised Land, he had to leave everything that was familiar to him (Gen. 12:1). Despite the idolatry of that pagan city, Abraham had probably grown attached to the comfort of his home, the variety of the food, and the fellowship of his friends. But Abraham left the familiar to follow Gods leading: By faith Abraham obeyed when he was called to go (Heb. 11:8).
When we experience Gods call to another place, it may mean leaving behind the people and the things we love. But when were obedient to God, He will provide something even more fulfilling at our new destination.
Amen. May this day bring a new awakening of the Spirit within each of us.
Well Thank you.
Amen.
I join in prayer for President Bush, the Administration and our heroes standing in harm’s way!
Amen.
May God bless President Bush.
Protect him.
Give him wisdom in Your ways, Lord.
In Jesus’ name.
Amen.
Amen.
Amen. Thank you, Faith.
