Gaza suffers as siege goes on [Running out of shrouds to bury the dead!]

Life under siege in Strip: Palestinian health officials report shortage of burial shrouds; cement only available on black market, long lines form at gas stations. Meanwhile, Hamas calls on world to intervene

Ali Waked Published: 01.19.08, 21:02 / Israel News

Gaza suffers as siege continues: Israel's decision to completely seal off Gaza Strip crossings for the time being, as well as the mounting Palestinian casualty toll in recent IDF anti-terror operations, has intensified the sense of distress faced by Gaza residents.

Hospitals and the Palestinian Health Ministry, as well as family members of casualties, said they were forced to bury Palestinians killed in IDF strikes draped in flags and hospital bed sheets, because of a shortage of burial shrouds.

Meanwhile, Palestinians also faced difficulties in conducting burial ceremonies as a result of a cement shortage. At this time, cement is only available on the Gaza black market and its price leaped five-fold, a rise that has also halted all construction.

In addition, reports regarding Israel's intention to further minimize fuel supply to the Strip led to long lines near gas stations. In many locations around Gaza, and mostly in the southern part of the Strip, gas stations closed down after running out of fuel. A station owner told AFP that the supply he received only lasted for two hours.

Power outages more frequent

According to reports, more than one million Palestinians – about two thirds of Strip residents – are currently relying on UN food handouts. Electricity in Gaza also became a sought-after product, with Gazans who could effort a generator purchasing one.

Officials in the Strip are saying that Gaza's sole power station, which at this time only produces 45% of its maximal output, has enough fuel to supply electricity only until Sunday morning. Meanwhile, Gaza power outages have become more frequent in recent days. At the same time, Hamas leaders again called on the world Saturday to intervene in order to ease the siege on the Strip.

However, on a positive note, the Palestinian reported that Israel's defense establishment approved the transfer of 48 gravely ill Palestinians to hospitals in the West Bank and in Israel.

Send 'em all the shrouds they want--as long as they supply the bodies to fill them!

There have not been that many people killed. Maybe a hundred I think (probably a high estimate). Sounds more like a shroud shortage than a genocide.

Maybe they could bury them in Kassam casings. Never a shortage of them in “Palestine”.

Okay, Reuters says “at least 35” Palestinians have been killed in Gaza over the past week. And they don’t have enough shrouds. What the heck is wrong with those people?

Stupid to keep firing rockets at Israel when you are living in a kill box.

Gotta have cement too, whatever it takes to keep them in the grave.

The Pali’s aren’t running out of shrouds. It’s a BS propaganda statement to try and get people to feel sorry for them.

If Isreal wasn’t demonstrating such remarkable restraint THEN they might run out of burial shrouds.

A man can dream, can’t he?

That’s what they get for cutting up all their shrouds into Danish flags for the “grass roots”, totally unscripted, completely unprompted, uncoordinated, uncoached, instantaneous demonstrations that kicked off so many months after the mo’toons had been published.

I say we help them out. Strategic level drops of multi-ton bales of linen from a safe altitude of 20k feet. We could also drop quantities of pig iron suitable for making into low quality sowing needles.

The pig iron could be formed into hollow shaped shells with aerodynamic features and filled with explosives to ensure proper dispersal so that everyone has an opportunity to get their piece delivered to them, personally.

The linen bales should be dropped directly on buildings so that folk dont miss finding them.

The Arabs have NO right to complain! The people of Sderot have to endure their aggression so I'm not sorry if my well of human sympathy for their plight ran out. I'm not really impressed by people whose way of life is terror and death. They have a love of death then perhaps they can begin practicing at home what they preach. Its what they want - and Israel is only giving it to them.

"Hospitals and the Palestinian Health Ministry, as well as family members of casualties, said they were forced to bury Palestinians killed in IDF strikes draped in flags and hospital bed sheets, because of a shortage of burial shrouds."

There is a simple solution for these "poor Palestinian terrorists" cement and shroud shortage- quit launching those crappy quasam missiles into Israel.

Obvioiusly the UN doesn't think they should stop trying to kill Israeli civillians with those things however, because they keep feeding them and supplying them with money which goes to what these "poor Palestinians" consider their most important needs- more guns and quasam missles.

Keep up the siege. Let these Palestinian (no such thing) terrorists whine and complain. They sure wouldn't, (and neither would the UN) if the shoe was on the other foot.

It sure must suck when one of Mohammads favorite terrorist acts (the siege) is used right back against them. Boo hoo.

Well, I don’t have any shrouds to donate to them, but I do have this roll of toilet paper they’re welcome to. They ought to be able to wrap one of their dogs in it.

Meantime, keep up the good work, IDF! Don’t let up at all. In fact, it’d be great if you could step up the pressure on the SOBs, for double the fun. See how they whine when you do.

shortage of burial shrouds

Sadly, it's hard to believe things could be so good there. This is just another Pali lie.

If the stupid Palis would build ONE SINGLE SEAPORT on their coast they might better off and not have to be leeches on the good graces of Israel and Egypt and the UN.

For those of you with Google Earth, I encourage you to take 10 minutes to scan the coast Gaza and then that of Israel up to Haifa. In Gaza you will see ONE port and it appears to be for pleasure boats. That’s it. Nothing else.

Beginning at the Gaza/Israel border and moving north, you begin to see pleasure harbors, seaside resorts, and industrial shipping ports by the score. Haifa is nothing BUT a seaport.

So once more we see the pathetic mental illness of Pali society.

I know how to solve this problem.

Bomb it.

If the Palis were normal humans instead of death-worshipping savages, they could build a south-coast Riviera.

But they are death-worshipping savages, so instead they have taken prime beachfront real estate and turned it into one huge open-air latrine.

Why work when you can play (thanks to Jew hating Media) the perpetual victim (while being nothing but Jew hating murderous Islamic terrorists as taught by Mohammad/Allah) and live a life of luxury supported by the billions of dollars sent by international community?
