Close to All Precincts Reporting, Romney Ran Away With Nevada
The Campaign Spot ^ | 01/19/2008 | JIM GERAGHTY

Posted on 01/19/2008 4:39:28 PM PST by Checkers

Only 83 precincts remaining to report in Nevada Republican caucuses (out of 1789 total), so we shouldn't see too much variance from these figures: Romney 52 percent, Ron Paul and John McCain at 13 percent, Thompson and Huckabee at 8 percent, Rudy Giuliani 4 percent, Duncan Hunter 2 percent.

UPDATE: CNN is now projecting delegates - I'm wondering if they're making the mistake I made earlier thinking it was a straight proportional system, or whether they've accounted for the who-wins-congressional-districts rules...

Anyway, they have Hillary winning 13 delegates, Obama winning 12...

On the Republican side, Romney 16, Paul and McCain 3 each, Thompson and Huckabee 2 each.

He can’t win a primary.

Romeny has won 3 contests thus far - Nevada, Michigan and Wyoming. His delegate count far exceeds the next closest rival.

He also won the governorship of Massachusetts, a state which boasts a more than 50% Catholic population and less than 1% Mormon population.

Lies, Damned Lies.....and Statistics....take your pick

“It’s embarrassing to hear that kind of blather from so-called conservatives.”

The Nevada desert. What is it about the Mormons and the desert?

Read your history. They were driven out of the East in the 1840s, and therefore they went to areas they thought no one else wanted, so they could left alone. Surviving in the desert turned them into a very tough, hard working, conservative people.

“O yeah, and RP took second with 14%...

...so the RINO’s didn’t get all the vote.”

You’re right, the moonbats scored a victory.

Truthfully, I’d rather see a moonbat win it, than a RINO.

Another reason that I suspect that they tend to support him is that they believe him when he says he has changed from this position to that, multiple times.

I can see them giving him the benefit of the doubt. Those of us who see him as only a political figure don’t buy his convenient conversions.

Certainly, he bought Wy. and Nv., and won Mi by default and with the help of FRedheads.

All of which follow the trend in our Country. That is, he who spends the most, promises the most, and lies the best...wins.

Ergo, a dummy will win.

The bigots took a fist in their face today.

More to come.

The Mormon-haters and Mitt-bashers are among the dumbest around. They don’t even understand simple math.

You got that right. And simple logic brings up another thing. Understand Hunter dropped out. Thompson is on a loosing streak. What is left is McNut, Huck, Hitlery, OBBBBAAAAMMMMAAA, and that unknown Rudy. We have bashers that say even if Romney wins nomination they will not vote or they will write in Hunter. Welcome to Hitlery and Billy BJ in the whitehouse again. (Hope my simple minded writing gets across to the Romney haters) Hello House, Senate and White House - GONE!

Lost what? He’s doin’ fine.

He’s got enough money to go beyond Fl. and the donations have stopped, either.

YOU deal with it.

So then I should probably hold off and wait for my check from Bloomberg. He seems to have the most money in this race.

You insult ALL of us when you conclude that rich men are mailing out checks for our votes.

One does not win elections in this country by ‘default’. You win elections because people vote for you. To that end, perhaps, it is not the candidates who are the dummies...

That’s interesting.

I had heard that Mitt won the evangelical vote and the Catholic vote, but hadn’t seen the numbers.
