I am not voting for any of them now that Duncan Hunter is out, let Hillary, McCain, Huckbee or Obama run the nation into the ground for 4 years.

I voted for Fred on California’s absentee ballot, and I at least hope he’s considered for VP, where he would drive the Dems wild like Cheney does! If not Fred, I will vote for the chosen Republican candidate. It’s most important that we stop the Dems, and I get frustrated with friends and Freepers who are so sold on their particular candidates that they swear to stay home in a huff on election day if their guy isn’t chosen.

With three SCOTUS seats opening up in the next three years I will likely vote for McCain. At his age I will hope he will be a one term president or less and expect Jindal to be ready in that amount of time. As far as amnesty is concerned he has a big fat target on his person. If he tries to stab us in the back again we will stab him in the front and make sure he is warned(and everybody on this site is doing that). Electing him in ‘08 is the best bet for a real president in ‘12.

Just remember if you elect to not vote at all it's really TWO votes for the opposition. I'm for Romney/Thompson but would hold my nose for the McCain or Huck. In the unlikely event that John or Mike wins the presidency it will but up to real conservatives to reshape congress and influence the RINO President.

Individual Liberty - Small Government - Strong AGGRESSIVE Defense - Lower Taxes - FREE Market.

The GOP is telling conservatives where to go, loud and clear.

It sure seems that you’ve narrowed your choice to Mitt Romney!

That was my conclusion after recognizing some time ago that Fred failed to reuse all of those great 2 minute segements he developed while substituting for Paul Harvey.

I'm all in on Fred Thompson, even if I have to write him in. Until this race, I was sick to death of being 'politicked' to. I used to say "I sure wish someone would run for President and simply tell us what they believe in and not what they think we want to hear.". I got what I wished for when Fred Thompson announced his running!

I will never vote for Huckabee. I am a Christian and he offends me. I will never vote for Guiliani. I am a conservative and he offends me. Odds are very slim I'd vote for Romney (promise anything) or McCain (unstable). At this moment, I'll vote for Thompson, write in Thompson or vote for Obama and let the chips fall.

Why is it on Freerepublic now days, when someone has a different opinion from someone else, people start attacking them personally. The enemy is the democratic party and leaders that support democratic ways, like amnesty.

Damn good question. When Duncan dropped out and Fred had his trouble in SC, my Dad told me he is going to back McCain. Immigration is to big of an issue for me to do that and the Mcstain Fiengold bill is a stain on his record. And I damn sure can not trust any flip floppin, gun grabbin, baby killers. What the heck am I to do?

I got half a notion to boycott this election and just go buy more guns and ammo before the time comes. But I damn sure don’t want a mess of Hugo commie lovers taking over the White House only to undo all we have done good in regards to the WOT. I am beside myself on this one.

I am sick of this lesser of two evils business.

I’ve thought about this alot and I think Fred needs to stick with it til the convention, regardless of how he places in any one primary. I say this because he does help spread the votes out and keep any of the others from really getting too far in front. I think having a guy like Fred in the race also keeps the other guys in line a bit and gives the races some balance. If any of the other guys are going to really get out in front, I want them to have to work their asses off. I just think it’s better if the good guy shows the fortitude to keep going against all odds. Every speech he gives, everybody who hears him talk, gets a reminder of what the real fight is for, and people need that reminder. I think Fred is really important to this presidential race whether he gets the nomination or not. And personally, I want to hear what the man will have to say at the convention.

The MSM, RATS and RINOS are trying to Kill Ronald Reagan and Conservatism.

First, you can forget about all this political theater the democrats are putting on.

The sham fight between Obama and Hillary Clinton is designed to culminate in a grandiose media event where the two announce they have joined forces for the good of the country and the assured defeat of the evild republicans. Clinton/Obama will be their ticket this year.

With a ticket like that to run against, could there be a better time to draw a line in the sand and determine if the statistics are true that tell us, that when asked if they are liberal or conservative, a majority of Americans say they are conservative?

The republican ticket MUST be a conservative ticket if it is to be successful.

That sort of limits the field now, doesn't it? I submit our best chance would be with a Thompson/Hunter ticket.

If we do not start concentrating our forces, i.e. money on a truely conservative ticket ticket, you can expect more of what we have endured.

I won't vote for McCain. I'm even starting to wonder if having a Democrat in the WH, as opposed to an anti-conservative Bush or McCain, might not be in better interest to conservatives.

We've been sold this "You must fear Hillary!" by the elites in the GOP to keep our support while they kick us in the teeth. Would we be better off in opposition to the WH, or support a WH that constantly betrays our interests?

I DO know that mcCain is much worse than Bush. And one undeniable thing--McCain supplies a figleaf for chickenhawks.

Like Teddy Roosevelt, start a party like the “Bull Moose” party.

If I get an open borders traitor, I will write in “Bullwinkle.” (This means no McCain, no Hickabee, no Julie-Annie)

Start the Bullwinkle party...

After 8 years of democrat rule...maybe the republican party will again see the value of the conservative voter.
I don’t think the republicans have a chance without us.
The liberal democrats will never crossover and vote republican no matter how “moderate” their nominee is and they are throwing our vote away by supporting a RINO candidate. The obvious result is a democrat President for at least the next 4 years.

You ask a good question. One I don’t have an answer for right now. Me I’m going to observe what happens for a while. I’ll still vote for Fred in the primary unless Romney looks like a winner in my state.

The republican party is at a crucial stage and if the go anymore to the center I’m leaving them behind.

Grow up and vote GOP to keep the country you love from Hillary and the Democrats.

Ginsburg and Stevens are centurions who will leave the high court in the next four years, and their replacements CANNOT be decided by the Left.

You owe it to your nation and to the world to get over your imperfections with the GOP ticket.
