(Recorded by the Kingston Trio circa 1963)
>>>Whos number 3?
This makes 4 if you want to count CBC sportscaster Don Wittman...
And actually, five, if you count Bobbie Fisher.
John was my uncle. Just damn.
So sorry for you loss. The album that included “Daydream Believer” was one of the first records I ever owned -back when I was in 7th grade in 1967. I remember my sisters and I played it over and over again.
Thank God for that. He is too funny and too young. You should be ashamed for hoping somebody died anyway...that is not conservative! Or at least add a sarc..
sorry forgot /s
Didn’t know that...when? Worked with Don on one of the lottery shows in Winnipeg in the ‘70’s and bumped into him again at the Winter Olympics in Sarajevo.
Good guy.
Don Wittman, sports broadcaster, dies at 71
WINNIPEG, Manitoba (AP)
Don Wittman, the CBC announcer who called some of Canadas most significant sporting events, has died. He was 71.
Wittman died Saturday of cancer, his family said in a statement on CBCs Web site.
Your uncle was a great singer-songwriter. I grew up on my dad's Kingston Trio records and consider the songs "Lost Her in the Sun" and "Gold" two of the best songs of the late 1970s. Recently I was lucky enough to find some of his later music on iTunes and enjoyed it immensely.
I am sorry for your loss. I loved “Daydream Believer.”
It’s way beyond 3. It’s getting to be every day.
