You can’t count Iowa “correctly”, because the straw poll had nothing to do with the choice of delegates. The delegates were separately chosen, and Huckabee didn’t even contest them.

Further, the delegates are officially “uncommitted”, to meet the rules of the Republican party. Technically so are the ones from Nevada. It’s guessed who they support, but if a candidate has dropped out by the time the Iowa delegates meet to make a formal delegation commitment, that candidate might not end up with any delegates.

He says that he voted against the Bush tax cuts because there were no provisions to also cut spending.

Except at the time, he said he opposed them because they gave too much back to the rich and not enough to the poor.

“I don’t know if I’d be comfortable with a Mormon president.”

As a Bible based Christian, I’m not worried about him trying to convert me to a Mormon. Initially I didn't like the idea then I got to know Huck ... he's a taxer and an OPEN border person - that's what his track record says. Huckabee, is a humanist. Mike is NO Bible based Christian.

I REFUSE to vote for a humanist, pretending to be a Christian using socialism to fund his utopia. I see Mike as more of a Clinton/Carter combo using the "religion card" to sway the ignorant. Btw Mike has NO theology degree. He has a undergraduate degree in "religion" with a minor in communications. He dropped out of Seminary school but that doesn't stop him from LYING about having a Theology degree. The truth is Mike isn't an honest person and certainly not capable of running the country.

Mitt isn’t pulling the religion card as Huck is. Huck is a phony.

To be fair, Romney did win the Nevada caucus, so he should get as much face time as McCain, especially since he beat McCain in his own back yard and got more delegates.

Pretty much the way I see it too. But that said, I’m not too excited about mit either. I’m still going with fred for now. As long as he hasn’t dropped out, I’ll keep pulling for him even if “uncommitted” starts to pass him up.

I appreciate your sentiments. But with this bunch, even if we “win”, we lose.

Can you seriously see any one of these three going to the mat to defend a conservative judicial nomination? Hell’s belles, can you see any one of these three even making a conservative judicial nomination?

Find me a conservative to support. Heck, find me a non-liberal to support.

I don’t claim to believe that Thompson is RR, but he certainly doesn’t pander the way the rest of them have and he hasn’t mealy mouthed equivocal answers to snarky reporters.

We’ll see what happens. My vote here in KY probably won’t be worth much by the time I get to vote, but I’m going to vote nonetheless.

Come November we all may want to consider taking night classes in Spanish.

Yes, I actually believe ALL of them would defend a conservative justice. We would certainly hold them to it. But I’m particularly certain Romney will do so.

You’ve got a point. If forced to choose between two Democrats, I guess I would take McCain over Clinton.

With Rasmussen showing Romney ahead in FL, he could be on his way to the nomination.
