> Something tells me McCain will meet his Waterloo in Florida <

IMO McCain will sink only if from among Fred, Rudy and Mitt, two will withdraw and then persuade their followers to vote for the third.

Otherwise, I think Huck will continue to draw so many conservative-leaning voters that McCain will come out on top.

A liar who has achieved most of what he has by lying, will lie when the truth wouldn’t hurt him...

A liar lies......that’s what they do..
Kerry is, and has always been a liar.
As he became an adult, he added treachery and traitorous behavior to his lack of character....

Do you think McCain can beat Hillary?

I don’t know, but if McCain doesn’t win in Super Tuesday he might consider being Hillary’s VP.

Who is sitting on the fence for McCain? Liberals who do not want Hillary. They will not pay attention to this.

Only if she's bound and gagged.

The S&M part of her life needs to go away.

Something I’ve noticed in life is when people are comfortable with their space they are honest, Outside of that they lie like mad. Damn near applicable to anyone.

I think you’ve hit on something....

Those I’ve known for certain have lied to me, were folks in a very bad “place”....either very unhappy or very dissatisfied with their position in the order of things....

Oh, yes; the second wife...and how he dumped the faithful first.

Keating-cheating. His love for Schwimmer. Shamnesty. McCain- Feingold. So much to pick & choose from.

I say the Dems don’t want McCain to be the nominee. However, a lot of Republicans agree with the Dems. First time there’s been agreement on something in eight years.

Who approached whom? According to Kerry it was McCain who did the asking.

Sounds like a classic case of he said, he said.

"There’s no obvious reason for Kerry to lie about this."

John Kerry is a liar of the highest order.

John McCain is simply crazy, although apparently  not crazy enough to actually consider joining up with an a$$hole of Kerry's magnitude.

Check yourself out dude.  Kerry lies  because he is Kerry.

McCain called the Swift Boat Veterans for Truth as dishonest and dishonorable. "Still, it was McCain who again came to Kerry's defense at an opportune time for Democrats. McCain, who challenged Bush for the GOP nomination in 2000, has become a central, if sometimes reluctant, figure in the campaign -- for both sides. Kerry courted him as a potential running mate after McCain defended Kerry's war record on national television. At rallies, Kerry frequently cites his relationship with McCain as evidence of bipartisanship."

"In an interview with the Associated Press, McCain called the ad "dishonest and dishonorable." Asked if the White House was behind it, McCain said: "I hope not, but I don't know. But I think the Bush campaign should specifically condemn the ad."

Bob Shrum, who worked for the Kerry-Edwards campaign, has since said Edwards had to be forced on Kerry by strategists concerned about delegate enthusiasm at the convention - which is why Edwards likely kept right on running, collecting a still-sizeable minority of the floor, and also claims Dick Gephardt was Kerry’s preference.
