No McCain is too old, and too liberal.

This is interesting...

...Wasn't Ronald Reagan around 76 years old when he was sworn in as POTUS back in 1981? Not that I intend to vote for John McCain in the primary...and it certainly isn't because his age. It's the RINO Factor that concerns me.

And it's also the reason I won't cast a vote for Gov. Huckabee.

John McCain is too old to handle the pressures of being president

This is exactly why the MSM want so badly for McCain to get the Republican nomination. Even a disliked Hillery can pummel John boy with this until everyone decides against him (Particularly effective if Huck is the VP candidate - Anti-religious sentiment plus age fears).

Chuck Norris is right in this specific case.

So, what’s he going to do if he were to get elected and he didn’t have the answers when people were questioning him about the affairs of the country, play his guitar? I’m not looking for a musician to run my country. IF I need one to play for a concert, then I will hire one.

How did Chuck Norris not manage to find the Thompson campaign before he ran into Huck?? This still makes no sense to me.

Not really, if you consider that it comes with a large popcorn on the side.

That’s right - McCain at time of nomination is definitely older than Reagan was at time of nomination.

I just posted this on another thread, but because this thread is about age, it fits here too:

You all are forgetting one little thing about Romney. He is a comparatively young man still (only 60). Romney is going to want to be Prez for more than one term. He wants 8 years, not 4. Now, if he wants that second term, he pretty much has to toe the line as to what he has promised he will do on conservative issues, otherwise there will be no second term. So I believe he will hew to the Pub party conservative line.

Now, McCain is another matter altogether. He is a much older man (71). He will be a one termer, and he knows it. He won’t care what the base of his party thinks about what he does for even a nanosecond. He will do what he wants. He will fulfill in spades his maverick status, which means he will pair up with the Dems and govern like one of them. And who could stop him. He won’t be having a second term, so what does he care who’s angry with him. He doesn’t care now. Amnesty for illegals, here it comes for sure. Who’s to stop him? No one. So any Pub that votes for McCain is more insane than John McInsane. And will probably get Sen. Lindsey Gramnesty as VP for a bonus prize.

Chuck Norris might be right in his assumptions about John McCain being too old, but coming from Huckabee’s number one supporter, it is kind of blunt.

Bob Dole born in 1923, and ran for President in 1996, was 73 years old, two years older than McCain, and Bob Doles age didn’t serve him well in the election, at all.

This is huge. Chuck Norris saying this at Huckabee's side, is the same as Huckabee saying it.

Huckabee must have learned he is not going to be on the ticket as Veep, and figures that since he is up against it, he has nothing to lose.

What's more, Huckabee in his attack isn't just nibbling around the edges, he is going straight for the jugular.

Grab the popcorn, this could be a fun 10 days if Huckabee starts attacking McCain.

Huck better watch out though, if Huckabee wants to bring up candidate health issues, McCain could get his media minions to ask Huckabee for the abdominal CT report from 2005 that would show whether he's lied about having a gastric bypass .
