Saving Christianity from Mike Huckabee
North Star Writers Group ^ | January 21, 2008 | Paul Ibrahim

A few weeks ago, a student asked Mike Huckabee: “Recent polls show you surging . . . What do you attribute this surge to?”

Without even needing to stop and think of an answer, Huckabee responded: “There's only one explanation for it, and it's not a human one. It's the same power that helped a little boy with two fish and five loaves feed a crowd of 5,000 people . . . And it defies all explanation, it has confounded the pundits. And I'm enjoying every minute of them trying to figure it out, and until they look at it, from a, just experience beyond human, they'll never figure it out . . . That's honestly why it's happening.”

Wonder if his voters will return home to the Clinton wing of politics/religion come November?

Huckster’s reply to the question above is nauseating. He’ll go into televangelism once he’s out of the running. There’s a load of suckers out there who’ll be glad to support him.

Yep, and there is a very good reason why drive up windows at liquor stores in the South are called "Baptist windows"..... just sayin'.......

He is trying to break ground to lay the cornerstone for his Ultimate Mega Church. But that cornerstone is inscribed with the words from the U.S. Constitution and the weight of it is crushing him!

Does this mean the Huckster’s finishes in Michigan, New Hampshire, Nevada and to some extend SC, mean that God has changed his mind.

This is the question I want SOMEONE in the media to ask HuckaHillBilly:

If it was God's will that you won the Iowa caucus, was it’s Gods will that you came in second in South Carolina. And shouldn't you take that as a sign to drop out?

I am no Huckabee fan, but he is no Clinton. He attracts votes because he is the only true social conservative running. His problem is that he governs fiscally like a democrat. In truth, Huckabee is an old time southern democrat without the racism. I will take that over Clinton and McCain any day.

It must, don’t you think? Maybe God has it in for the Huckster.

This man already said that Jesus was tooooo smart to get into politics. Mr. Huckabee applies a few scriptures here and there and ignores the rest. There in the scriptures says ... IIThessalonians 2:1-17 verse 10 And with all deceivableness of unrighteousness in them that perish; because they received not the love of the truth, that they might be saved.

verse 11 And for this cause God shall send them *strong delusions*, that they should believe a lie;

I am guessing his response would be the 'devil' was let loose in SC .... and it was to stir up the rest of his supporters across this country.

I would suggest you do a bit of research and see who over the years this religious affiliation has typically supported. I have read that Billy Graham and LBJ were best of best of buds. And we all witnessed Billy Graham covering over Clinton deeds as being so charismatic and even said he could have gone into the preaching profession.

Sorry, but I don't see anything "socially conservative" about giving in-state college tuition to criminal illegal aliens....

You're making a false distinction. If someone governs like a liberal Democrat, then he's functionally a liberal Democrat regardless of whether he says he's anti-this or pro-that like a conservative Republican. Better to elect someone who would say that personally he thinks a woman should be able to have an abortion whenever but says that that is a matter of law left to the states by the Constitution. As Jesus said, you'll know them by their fruits. Huckabee is pretty fruity in a liberal way.

Personally, I have serious reservations about ANYONE who uses religion as method of developing a primary income source.....

it’s always about Huckabee........how did he ever put the Lord first? -or is that why he didn’t make it as a minister?

Never go fishing with a Baptist; always take two. If you only take one he will drink all your beer.

By social conservative, I mean abortion, gay marriage and gay rights, and stem cell research on embyros. Huckabee is the most conservative on those issues. The problem is he is not conservative on all other issues.

Obviously, he is an amnesty/open borders guy. But, I don’t consider that a social conservative issue. To me, that is more of a national security issue, protecting against invasion issue.

I consider myself to be a devout, fundamentalist Christian.

And I also Mike Huckabee to be the most distasteful, and dangerous politician to come down the pike in a long, long time.
