Clinton, Obama dislike boils over at debate

From the article: The former first lady, who met King as a teenager in Chicago seven years before he was gunned down in 1968, paid tribute to Obama as an "extraordinary young African-American man."

Obama is 46.

For those unaware, it is a racial slur to refer to an adult black male as 'boy.' After Guy Milner called a black man who refused to shake his hand 'boy' his campaign was over.

While she didn't use the term 'boy' here, it sure sounds suggestive of the slur and is exceptionally insulting. He's a grown, accomplished, married man with children.

If an R did this, you know the media would be all over it.

Bill used to use the “N” word quite regularly according to people who were around him during his years as governor. I wouldn’t put it past Hillary to be of the same mind on that subject, back then.

This comes pretty close to a serious veiled put down IMO.

Hillary and Bill are notorious for slurring people in a manner that they can deny any wrong with a straight face, and you can count on that being the tactic here if she’s called on it.

I’d love to see Obama call her on this.

In your own words, she didn’t call him a boy; she alluded to Ronald Reagan’s comment about Mondale about his youth and inexperience.

;-) Invoking Reagan. That’s not going to go over well on the left, is it?

I would think it would be funny to be a fly on the wall at the Clinton house while they’re discussing Obama.

Hillary figured it was a shoe in to have the Democrat crown and now... she has to work for it.

You can just guess how they will work their campaign against a republican when it’s time but by a hundred fold. All the smears, the race or gender baiting and the playing of the victim card.... I can’t wait!

Hey, this is the 21st Century. Al and Jesse were the boys of the 20th Century. So the plantation mentality has evolved into one of indentured servitude.

Much as I dislike Hillary, and am no real fan of Obama and certainly not of this adoring throngs, there’s nothing wrong with what she said. I agree if a Repub had said it someone might have made a case about it, but in presidential terms he’s certainly fairly young, and to a 60-year old like Hillary he’s young.

Well, BJ Clinton’s baggage did refer to
one democrat as a “Fing Jew Ba$tard”!

Uh... yes. Can there be a greater insult than calling someone an exceptional young man? I wonder about the people who continually drag race into this in a transparent attempt at inflaming racial passions. It’s like they have no understanding that he has at least a 40% chance of Obama being the Dem nominee. Are we really going to immunize him against any criticism, accuse all of his opponents of racism, build him up, and then realize that if he’s the nominee - oops, we are on record as calling anyone who opposes him racist? What does that leave us to campaign against him with. Can’t discuss his drug use, that’s racist. Can’t point out his past connections with criminal elements, that’s racist. Can’t even say his middle name is Huessein, that’s racist. Can’t point out his policy changes, that’s racist. Can’t even pay him a compliment, that’s racist.

How short-sighted can we be? Come on now. Why neuter ourselves like this?

Oh, please. An Olympic gymnast couldn’t couldn’t stretch that far. She called him a “young man.” Whether 46 is “young” is an academic exercise. It’s much younger than most presidents. Much younger than Hilary. Equating “young man” to “boy” and then extrapolating a racist subtext from that is a ridiculous waste of time.

There are plenty of things to dislike about Hillary without chasing chimerae.

If there is a private time between them, I wouldn’t be surprised. I’m not convinced there’s much of that to tell the truth.

Yeah I think there is very little private time between the Hill and the Bill. BJC has made some bad choices but he would never choose to spend a lot of “quality” time with Hill....BTW it is real creepy to keep seeing Huma in all campaign photos, she appears to be keeping the EYE on Hill.

“I would think it would be funny to be a fly on the wall at the Clinton house while they’re discussing Obama.”

I would like to be the same in the Obama household. Perhaps Barack isn’t quite the cool, calm and collected altar boy he seems in front of the camera and in interviews. I bet he and Michelle let fly quite a few epithets when conversing about Hillary and Bill.

Thank you.

Aren’t there enough people in the world who will look for something, anything, to be offended about? It is ridiculous that people are trying to make a big thing about this.
