Advice for Governor Huckabee (vanity)
January 23, 2008 | Kurt Evans

Posted on 01/23/2008 2:15:42 AM PST by Kurt Evans

In the MSNBC debate on Thursday, I'd like to see Governor Huckabee go after Senator McCain the way Senator Thompson went after Governor Huckabee in South Carolina.

Senator McCain authored McCain-Feingold’s immoral and blatantly unconstitutional restrictions on political free speech, as well as the McCain-Kennedy amnesty bill for illegal aliens. He was one of the “Keating Five” caught up in the ethics scandal of 1989. He supports embryonic stem cell research and opposes a Marriage Protection Amendment to prevent our most liberal states from establishing legal definitions of marriage that vary from the historical meaning of the word.

On the Don Imus show in 2006, Senator McCain said, “I would rather have a clean government than one where, quote, ‘First Amendment rights’ are being respected, that has become corrupt. If I had my choice, I’d rather have the clean government.” Senator McCain apparently believes it’s possible for a government to forbid free speech and still be “clean”...

I say get the complete list of his sins from Tom DeLay, memorize it, and unload it. Make me believe again.

Huck would have a hard time attacking anyone one some of these charges as they could hold up a mirror back to him.

Huck is McCain’s stalking horse. Why would he attack McCain?

The power was cut off some time ago, the switch really doesn’t do anything, we just flip it by default.

Sung to Neil Diamond’s Brother Love’s Traveling Salvation Show

Brother Huck’s Travelin’ Salvation Show

Cold January night.......
And the propaganda’s hanging down
And conservatives on the ground feelin’ beat.
Move up the road to the outside of town
And the sound of that good liberal beat!

Sits a ragged governor
Where there ain’t no truth,
And that gospel group tellin’ you and me

It’s Huck, Brother Huck, say
Brother Huck’s Travelin’ Salvation Show!
Pack up anchor babies and grab the old ladies
And ev’ryone cries ‘cause everyone knows
Brother Huck’s lies.

Halle- Hallelujah......

Starting soft and slow
Like a small town hick
And when he lets go,
Half the country’s sick!

It’s Huck, Huck Love, say
Brother Huck’s Travelin’ Salvation Show!
Take an old wrestler , a ‘B’ movie hustler
And ev’ryone goes, ‘cause everyone knows
Brother Huck’s flam flam show.

Hallelujah!

You know that sound like the best plan yet. I could just go buy me a big sailboat (while I still have the cash) and go around the world until the stupidity blows over.

My advice for Huckabee would be to renounce his proposal for banning smoking at the federal level and make a strong statement for states rights, local control, and less government.

He should also renounce his endorsement from the NH NEA and make a strong statement for school vouchers.

Another thing he could do is renounce his support for benefits for illegal immigrants(and children) and explain that it only adds to the problem of bringing more illegal immigrants.

Yet another would be to renounce his 2nd term tax and spending spree and reiterate his support for the FairTax(contingent upon repealing the 16th Amendment) and his pledge to not raise any taxes.

On top of that he should clarify that he would appoint judges who hold to an originalists interpretation of the Constitution and renounce his recent "living document" statement.

Should I continue?

If Huckabee attacks McCain he is running for President.

If Huckabee does not attack McCain, he is trying to stay in contention for VP.
