Advice for Governor Huckabee (vanity)
January 23, 2008 | Kurt Evans

Posted on 01/23/2008 2:15:42 AM PST by Kurt Evans

In the MSNBC debate on Thursday, I'd like to see Governor Huckabee go after Senator McCain the way Senator Thompson went after Governor Huckabee in South Carolina.

Senator McCain authored McCain-Feingold’s immoral and blatantly unconstitutional restrictions on political free speech, as well as the McCain-Kennedy amnesty bill for illegal aliens. He was one of the “Keating Five” caught up in the ethics scandal of 1989. He supports embryonic stem cell research and opposes a Marriage Protection Amendment to prevent our most liberal states from establishing legal definitions of marriage that vary from the historical meaning of the word.

On the Don Imus show in 2006, Senator McCain said, “I would rather have a clean government than one where, quote, ‘First Amendment rights’ are being respected, that has become corrupt. If I had my choice, I’d rather have the clean government.” Senator McCain apparently believes it’s possible for a government to forbid free speech and still be “clean”...

I say get the complete list of his sins from Tom DeLay, memorize it, and unload it. Make me believe again.

Here’s my advice to Huckster: Drop out, and take the rest of that Felliniesque sideshow of liberal asshat RINO clowns with you.

You ARE my Field Marshal!

The Republicans would be better off nominating NO ONE than any one of these... well, ‘asshats’ is just the right word.

By way of explanation, I believe even if Giuliani could somehow win Florida—which I consider very unlikely—his national campaign would still be dead. A loss and a quiet exit would probably be the best thing that could happen to him.

Something about the thought of Mr. 9-11 shacking up with his mistress on Long Island when the planes hit the towers will probably be a huge turnoff for mainstream America:

http://www.politico.com/news/stories/1107/7073.html
“Many of the receipts are from hotels and gas stations on Long Island, where Giuliani reportedly began visiting Nathan’s Southampton condominium in the summer of 1999, though Giuliani and Nathan have never discussed the beginning of their relationship.

“Nathan would go on to become Giuliani’s third wife, but his second marriage was officially intact until the spring of 2000, and City Hall officials at the time responded to questions about his absences by saying he was spending time with his son and playing golf...

“Receipts show him in Southampton every weekend in August and the first weekend in September of 2001, before the terror attacks of Sept. 11 disrupted the routines of his city...”

How could Huckabee attack McCain on McCain Feingold, when Huckabee has proposed even tighter restrictions of political speech?

“Here’s my advice to Huckster: Drop out...”

That would benefit Romney and make sure Romney is the nominee. Good advice, if we want to retain the White House.

My advice is that they ALL drop out. The party is dead otherwise. It died on Tuesday with Fred’s departure.

Look, if your high school sweatheart were to decide to dump you and join a convent you would then refuse to consider her sister who is even more attractive and is available? You’d rather, metaphorically speaking of course, wind up in your 40s living with mommy and griping about how the world is so unfair????

You’d better put on your glasses, son. You’d be replacing Adriana Lima with Helen Thomas.

BTW, I neither date nor vote for whores, and they don’t come any bigger than Joe Isuzu Romney.

Like I said on another post, I’ll be heading off to some remote beach on the west coast of Mexico with a well stocked cantina, drinking Bohemia with my feet up and the sun going down. The Presidency will be going to hell in any case so why get worked up?

I’m empathetic for your feeling of loss, but I did try to tell you what my ‘insider’ was saying so you wouldn’t have such high expectations.

I have no ill feelings for Mr. Thompson. It just wasn’t his time.

It just wasn’t his time.

It never is. You have to MAKE it so. Fred succeded only in proving right all those who said he really didn't want the job, had no 'fire in the belly', etc.

In my opinion, for what its worth, the job was still Fred's to lose on the day he quit.

The Huckster gave Mexico a consulate in Little Rock, AK for ONE DOLLAR. You want him to attack McCain? With what?

Speaking as an individual I would vote for anyone the Republicans throw out there to end the Clinton dynasty. Once that dragon is slain we can get the rest of our house in order. I will vote McCain no problem if Hillary is his opponent. I just hope he doesn’t pick Huck as his VP.He is almost as revolting as his brother Bill, not quite but almost, but I would even vote for him (although I think he’s the only one who can’t beat Hillary.)
