That may be. But the article points out that McCain is mostly not under attack. McCain’s famed anger has arisen several times in the Senate. He’s made a lot of fellow senators angry.

When McCain and Graham lambasted me and my immigrant wife for being "bigots" for supporting the fence, that ended it for me with these two. If it comes to it, I'll vote for him against the Dems, but his appeals for money are insulting (again).
The Dems are scared of him. They'd rather face anyone but Romney.
Sounds like something must be right if the rest of the poliicians dislike him.
When I said Romney was another northeastern liberal, you think I have a problem with northeasterners? It's the "liberal" part that I have a problem with. If Romney was from Georgia, I would call him a southern liberal, then you could imply that I hate the south.
Why would they be scared of him ? He IS one of them ! This guy helps out the Democrat party and the liberal agenda wherever he goes. Take a look at the GOP corpse he buried and ran away from in MA.

Can you ever imagine Mitt Romney saying something similar about John McCain? Basically calling him a pig? John McCain is disgusting. Mitt Romney is a gentleman who would never stoop to name calling an opponent. In spite of the insults, he says the other candidates are friends. Probably bites his tongue everytime he says that, but, because he is honorable, he does.
Say anything, do anything, what do the polls tell him today, that's what drives both of them.
When Romney decided he wanted to be POTUS he became "conservative".

Say what you want about him but he's a WINNER. Between Romney and Hillary, Romney stands apart as a self-made, class act, with nary a blemish, basically. Of course if you disagree with some of his politics, and his religion, that's fair, but irrelevant in a one-on-one dual for the presidency.
He will outshine her time and time again, whether in debates or just by comparison.
