This is a good idea . By maintaining your support for Senator Thompson right up until he endorses McCain , it will be easier for you to vote for Juan McAmnesty .

If I am correct. there is a space on the ballot to put in a name of a person that isn't running. I think we all should put in Sen Fred Thompson.
Can't hurt!

I’m certain that you would be laughing if he endorsed Mitt though.

That’s been my plan since he dropped out.
Careful with “Can’t hurt” though. Some people will whine at you that if you aren’t voting for THEIR nominee, then you’re actually voting for Hillary.

This is the boat I'm in. THe wife and I proudly supported Fred in the Iowa primary and I intend to write him in in the general since I can't bring myself to cast a vote for a known RINO which fits the category of all the other "conservatives" in the race.

The ship has sailed. Time to wake up and face reality.

I came up with the analogy, so it’s exactly like I realize, Davey. LOL.

I’m in MD and I am writing in FRED THOMPSON, my only choice other than Duncan Hunter but I think a FT vote is worth more.

I don’t think Senator Thompson would endorse Mitt under any circumstances . I also don’t think he will endorse McCain unless McCain asks and that won’t be until he is in serious jeopardy of losing the nomination .

...as is the GOP’s chances of winning the Presidency in ‘08 with the current front runners.
Every time I think of the Thompson campaign, why do I think of the movie, “Meet John Doe”?

sorry, we dont vote for socialists like mitt Right. We are much better off continuing to strut and fret and let a Communist like Hillary seize power and never let go.

I liked Hunter before he dropped out, but once he endorsed Huckabee I lost all respect for him. He wasn’t really the guy I thought he was.
I’ll still write in Thompson, however.
