"But he's the best of the lot."

You lost me there, too. At least Rudy is not stumping for socialist mandates. Huck's the only candidate with a credible constitutional stance on the Right to bear and carry arms or the sanctity of life. Mitt's more liberal than either, IMHO.

I don't subscribe to the theory that Marx had some good ideas, but Lenin and Stalin just didn't go about implementing them the right way. I don't want a more brutally efficient version of Socialism. I want it dead.

McCain’s rise has to do with name recognition and the pimping of the MSM, including Fox. They are disgusting in their push for McCain. It is all about sinking Romney. Many inside the beltway do not want change.

My parents voted for him because of George Day’s and Gen. Schwarzkopf’s support. We respect those two gentlemen very much for their service to our country. However, now that I know Mr. Day was McCain’s attorney in McCain’s shameful divorce of Carol McCain, my opinion has dropped in regard to Day’s integrity on non-military matters. I certainly won’t be voting for McCain in the primary and hope that he’s not on Election Day’s ballot.

Aside from mob mentality (all based on open primary states) and the MSM’s support for “maverick” (aka liberal, anti-Bush) McCain, I see very little reason for McCain even showing up on the political radar screen.

Rudy implemented amnesty in New York City, Huck gave illegals free tuition plus pardoned many hard-core criminals, McCain tried to implement amnesty throughout the country.

None of them are great. You can point out specific bills for each and every one of the candidates to prove that they’re not worthy. We have what we have.

I think it depends on one’s main issue. Mine is illegal immigration. If yours is the right to bear arms, then vote for Huck. (But then, you’ll have to listen to his adolescent jokes for four years)

Do you listen to Glenn Beck? He’s Mormon and I think he’s been pretty open-minded about the Republican candidates, not throwing his support quickly behind any of them.

The other day he said something pretty interesting about Romney. Once when he had him on his show Romney just seemed too polished in front of the camera, saying all the right things. Then when the cameras were off Glenn asked if he could stick around a while and just chat for a while.

One of the guys who works on the show said that he wouldn’t vote for that guy who had just been so polished on TV. But the guy who sat and chatted with him when no cameras were on, he’d vote for in a heartbeat.

Essentially what Glenn Beck was saying is that although Romney seems too slick when campaigning, he has come to see that it’s not just an act. He thinks he’s really like that.

And he also said that he knows several people who know Romney from church and have known him well. They claim that he’s very genuine and would do almost anything for someone in need. They say there’s nothing phony about him.

I’m keeping an open mind about Romney myself. I was initially put off by his image as a politician trying to say the right thing, but I think there’s more to him than that. As of now my wife and I are probably going to vote for him on Super Tuesday.
