The latest Rasmussen Reports telephone survey in Florida shows former Massachusetts Governor Mitt Romney earning 33% of the vote while Arizona Senator John McCain attracts 27%.The poll was conducted Saturday afternoon before Florida Governor Charlie Crist announced his endorsement of McCain and the race is fluid enough that both men have a realistic chance of winning on Tuesday. Rasmussen Markets data showed that expectations for a McCain victory rose following the Crist announcement.

You don’t know how accurate you are. Dems see things IN BLACK AND WHITE, especially race. They see people as GROUPS, not individuals. I know, I was raised a Dem. They also have nothing but IRRATIONAL HATRED, as their policies. They support blacks... but hate them and laugh at them behinds their backs. I have seen them do this, much to my disgust. They don’t care about blacks, women, Hispanics, they USE them. You are seeing this in the racial bloodletting of Clinton and Obama. And, IT WILL ONLY GET WORSE. Ihope nothing violent happens, but it could, as Dems tend to favor violent solutions, but now they are turning it on themselves.

Carter was beating Reagan handily at this point in the 1980 race. We know how that turned out.

He was wrong about that wasn't he?

Fact is though, the entire RNC and most of the GOP is headed left, Romney looks like an late 70s - 80s democrat, and conservatives have nowhere else to go unless a line is drawn in the sand somewhere.

I suspect that it will be after the carnage in November 08.
If then.

How we got past the amnesty thing in 07 I’m not sure, but I am plenty thankful for it.
I expect to see it revisited on an ongoing basis.

Romney also holds the Red States, put Mass on the table

Puts Mass on the table. :shakes head:
You are absolutely delusional if you believe that.
Been there lately?
I will give the benefit of the doubt and assume that was rhetorical hyperbole.

In the general, from the internals so far, Mitt may well lose Florida in the general unless he spends BIG bucks here.
Even then.

I thought it might be that, but there is a difference between working for romney and endorsing romney.

?

That Rasmussen link you posted shows national numbers. Societygirl’s post dealt with specifically Florida.

The rest of his rhetoric doesn't match up well (or at all) to his public record. Mitt has some good qualities, but he's not 'conservative' in the way the Reagan would have used the term.

True. But he's the best of the lot. I'm thinking that if he gets in the WH, we'll have to hold our breaths and see if he sticks to all his promises. It it a risk. But less riskier than any of the other candidates, IMO.

Mitt is quite decent, and that is the one thing we require of a President.

No, we require far more than that. I don't want to personally challenge you, but how old are you?

Your posts read like a parody. You posted an older poll without a link and changed the headline. My first thought on viewing the thread was possible mole behavior.

Most of the Mitt supporters here are enthusiastic about the candidate, but we stay within the bounds of realism. Your headline of "Romney Running Away with It" is not realistic, and it's bad strategy at this point. So, I am thinking you are a mole.

Funny though... Many people believe Reagan also benefitted from the success of Jesse Jackson in the Democratic primaries... that scared white, southern voters to switch to Reagan ( a former union President ).

Now.. the Clintons are counting on the same force to help them. I wonder, whether it will still work. This is a different world now.. 27 years later.

Examine post 183, and other aspects of the thread, and tell me the poster is not a mole/troll.

Way over the top......

Good to hear. Although Romney wasn’t my first choice, I can stomach him a whole lot easier than McCain or heaven forbid, Rudy.

The excitement level in the GOP is hardly containable.
