Yes, very bad move on his part. I just talked to some friends in Florida...and they will not be voting Crist again.

I cannot stomach McCain at all. If he wins the nomination, the rats will win 45 to 50 states in the fall and gain a devasting majority in Congress. This country will never recover.

I was for Thompson, but Romney seems the best of the remaining candidates to me too. Don’t like the Huckster’s past immigration or crime stances, don’t like Rootie’s anti-gun positions, don’t like that with McCain you will get Feingold and Kennedy too.

I think you are correct in saying that.

If the GOP was in it to win, we would have a candidate that would have appeal to all factions.

Any Republican running against any Democrat will be a very difficult race. I think that the rats will have a ticket with HER and Obama. It will be an uphill battle despite HER very high negatives. Independents are trending rat now.

In Rudy’s DREAMS, lol. I love Rudy, but he is not going anywhere with that wife of his. Deal breaker. He will not leave the race.

>You might vote for her. I won’t.

Got 20 bucks that says that your state will.
Got another 100 bucks that says mass goes for hillary.

Got another 20 that says my state, Florida goes red.

Want to change my mind? Deliver Oregon

YES !!

Thompson or Hunter for Romney ticket would really be a winning team !!

Now we need for Bill & Hillary to win their side !!

A Hillary/Obama ticket is a non starter !! Never happen !!

Go Mitt for corporate welfare?

Go Mitt for the personal, short-term pragmatism behind flip-flopping?

Go Mitt for fingers in the wind?

Go Mitt for the Nixon strategy: appeal to conservatives in the primaries, then swing the other direction for the general election?

Go Mitt for wobbliness on special rights for homosexuals?

Go Mitt for compromising our 2nd Amendment rights?

Go Mitt for what kind of political philosophy? Is there one?

People still deep down would have trouble voting for a woman, aka Lesbian and a black for President and VP.

If you haven’t read this speech by Romney, it is a must read. Sounds like a speech Fred would have given. Subject is Federalism.

A Mitt/Rudy ticket might be good...
A Mitt/Fred ticket might be good, too

I understand your feelings, but the logic falls.

If McCain would lose by that amount then he could not win the primary, especially with all of the crossover independent voters in such states.

Were McCain truly not going to get the conservative vote, then why are we all in a rush to throw out the ones that we know are real conservatives and replace them with dem lite RINOs with neat hair?

I don't like any of them, but Rove was right. - The conservatives will fall in line.

We always have.
Hell we coined the phrase "hold your nose and vote."

I may be through with the entire GOP and its deal.
Difficult choices to make in 2 days, and mitt and huck are not on my list.

That's true about Rudy. Outside of the northeast and the west coast, having photos of yourself in pantyhose and a derby isn't a good thing. IMHO, that's far more creepy than the whole "drag" outfit he wore.

Democrats, OTOH, don't throw their candidates under the bus like the Republicans do, no matter the scandal.

I think the Democrats go too far one way, and the Republicans the other. We've thrown viable people away over relatively small scandals (Mark Foley and "inappropriate" text messages, etc). The Dems have kept Barney Frank, who had an underage male prostitution ring running out of his congressional office.

Crist was elected because Jeb was term limited out.

Crist is a revolving door politician.

Jeb is supposedly working with Romney.

Crist must have been politically disposable or unacceptable for some reason as a VP candidate.

Jeb Bush would be a more acceptable VP potential (just potential) in like of crists “3rd term” place holder status.

Remember, during the hard fought fight against the CIR bill, McCain tanked. He must of picked up some establishment, big money, when they figured Rudy wouldn’t sell. The same SOB, beltway turds who backed Rudy earlier are all for McCain now.

McCain will destroy this party. I could not vote for him ever, after his part in the CIR bill.

If he is nominated, the GOP will lose. Then look for the Billary people to offer him a job in their administration to look bipartisan. Although it isn’t bipartisan, and we all know it.

If McCain gets the nomination, I will never vote for him, or the GOP again. I don’t vote for people who have stabbed me the back.

Well, you nailed that. And not so deep down, I would add.
