I drove through the four corners last week moving from TX to WA. In Farmington and Shiprock there seem to be lots of Dine who could use those jobs. They ought to have them before any of the illegals, in my opinion.I'm not sure what Dine is/are, but if they wanted the jobs (as opposed to you just thinking they should have the jobs), perhaps they could apply for them.

Generally, the people on the inside of one on these things are called "prisoners." No they're not, unless the fence surrounds a prison and they are there after being convicted of criminal activity. Talk about a non-sequitur.

One man called and asked how long the foreclosure process would take if he skipped his $1,600 house payments. Aguero told him four months. "Well, I'll save that and just go home (to Guatemala)" *sigh*
I expect we'll get to help bailout the bank that gave this illegal alien his sub-prime loan...

Ironco has raised steel fitters' wages 30 percent from a year ago, according to Bailey. "We've raised wages, competing for a diminishing supply (of workers)," he said. "We?ve been on a campaign of quality improvement, training, scouring the waterfront, so to speak, for American vets, ex-offenders trying to find their way back into society.YES! This is a good thing, paying decent wages to hard working Americans trying to make it is the American way. Paying slave wages to Illegals is the Communist sweat-shop way.

These people replaced a hooker business for an illegal alien business. So they closed one type of whore-house, to open a differnt type of pimp/pander shop? Either way, the public seems to be paying to get screwed.

Exactly! They’re going to go East, West or North. Anything but South.

F’ off, Reza. This land is bought and paid for and it isn’t going to be turned into another 3rd world sh*t hole like in Old Mexico.

I read “Turnaround”. I can’t believe this is the same Billy Bratton who cleaned up NYC for Rudy.

'Hispanic panic' as Arizona immigration crackdown bitesInteresting. 'Hispanic panic' 12 years ago when I was single was when I dropped by unannounced at a friends house around dinner time. How times changed...nah...they still panic. : )

Reza dreams of a day when Tonatierra can create day labor centers throughout the city. Tonatierra and Reza are also working for the electoral redistricting of Phoenix in order to increase Latino political representation. Tonatierra is also preparing for the future through a new program called Xinachtli, which works with public schools to teach the traditions, culture, art and science of indigenous people.
Salvador Reza, director of the Macehualli Work Center in Phoenix
HB 2592, would ban day labor centers. “Prop 200 and its henchmen have got to be stopped, or this place is in for a boycott.”
******
Salvador Reza now runs this work center for illegal
immigrants in Phoenix. Reza says it would be a much more humane system to give a work permit or visa for workers from Mexico to go back and forth.
Mr. SALVADOR REZA: And if you allow for that—for that free flow instead of keeping them, they’ll be here for a little bit and they’ll go back.

In early November, Salvador Reza (better known as the keeper of the day laborers) stated he and his groups would protest in front of Pruitts Furniture every Saturday through November and December. They would protest the fact that Pruitts had been hiring off - duty officers to patrol its property to keep Day Laborer (Illegal Aliens) from hanging out there, among other things.

Work center provides means for illegals to send money home
Salvador Reza cooridinates the Macehaulli work center daily.
The business community can either outsource their labor to other countries or internalize it with the help of immigrants, he says. If you keep it (the labor) here, at least the workers would be paying taxes here. Unless the United States advances into the global economy, theyll be passed by countries like India and China.
Salvador Reza, who tirelessly coordinates the center, says Cazuetas story is typical. He says that money earned in America and sent back across the border is Mexicos greatest import.

From what I have seen in South Florida. Immigrants with papers or without, or in the process, are simply good workers workers. They speak several languages. My friend's nanny who is in the process of getting her papers, taught the kids Italian and fluent Spanish. She is a teacher in her country. How do you get that from an American for $6.00 an hour?
Low skilled laborers who are American have the reputation for unreliability and many other problems. While immigrants are usually DESPERATE to work for minimum wage. High skilled immigrants are extremely educated, speak several languages, and are also happy to work and be in this country. There are very good and valid reasons why people hire them.
