Who ya gonna believe?

I myself have listened to Mitt. He was not my 1st or 2nd choice...but I have listened to his explanations of his changes, and watched how he has handled himself.

I have also studied his record and feel that if one is objective that he is the most conservative of those left. Clearly, there are those with a real agenda and vendetta against him and they have every right to voice their opinions as well. But I have the oblogation to look at them all objectively too.

I have done so and am willing to do theChristian thing with Mitt and give him the benefit of the doubt. I would rather have seen more time go by, and would certainly have rather seen Thompson as the candidate, and Hunter before him. But now, of those left standing (or leaning as one wise FReeper noted), I will go with Romney.

So these schmuckerheads are going to torpedo the probable Republican candidate, paving the way for Hillary Clinton or Barrak Obama to the Presidency and the nomination of liberal schmuckerhead judges.

Sounds like a winner...

“The evidence is indisputable— Mitt Romney is lying to get Christian votes,”

Huckabee ain’t exactly been a fountain of truth either...

I can’t believe how stupid these pro-life people are who don’t realize that Romney is the only chance they have to defeat the pro-choice Democrats, and any damage they do to him gives aid and comfort to those they should be opposing.

I think the pro life leaders are now just in their own personal power trip.

Considering how Mr. 700 club endorsed Giuliani, it seems far more valid.

This isn’t Right To Life. Note the name.

This is a group set up in November of 2007 to attack Romney. That’s right, this group has a “history” of 2 months, and all they’ve done in their entire history is attack Mitt Romney. They are a 527 set up by somebody to take out Mitt Romney, and they targeted Iowa where Huckabee needed a win.

There “evidence” is the same stuff debunked here many times. Most of us have tried to just ignore them and hope they go away. Maybe we’ll get lucky and Ann Coulter will do the job.

I wonder if they are connected with Huckabee, or with Ron Paul.

I tend to agree with this. Ann Coulter is smart. Just like Rush, who I also adore, she is missing a sensitivity chip. In her case it’s probably a good thing, but the general masses of social conservatives won’t relate to her, and she doesn’t relate or understand us. She entertaining, sometimes informative, but not taken too seriously.

As far as I’m concerned, the 4 that are left aren’t conservative enough. Gonna have to decide which is the lesser of 4 evils.

Um, I don’t think he wants her as an enemy. Best tactic is to ignore the mistake. She’s smart. She’ll see it eventually.

Already been posted at least one other time. However, to take a different approach to attacking this thing, I'll just point out the blatant dishonesty of THIS argument the author makes:
Coulter repeatedly suggests in a Jan. 16, 2008 column that pro-lifers should let liberals help them pick their nominee. "The candidate Republicans should be clamoring for is the one liberals are feverishly denouncing... Mitt Romney."
The suggestion that Ann was saying we should "let liberals help them pick" is absurd. Ann was making the common-sense argument that a person liberals hate is probably someone on our side, not that we should allow liberals to choose our candidate.

You lose me, when you call Romney “pro-abortion”. My friend, extremism is not your friend.

Worth posting again...

“Mitt Romney claims, “On every piece of legislation, I came down on the side of life.” “That is a lie,” said Curtis, former chairman of the Colorado Republican Party.”

Romney Scores Big Pro-Life Endorsement

Pro-Life Leader James Bopp Endorsed Mitt Romney

Pro-Life founder of Heritage Foundation Endorses Mitt Romney

This sounds more like turf wars in the pro-life movement. Romney's conversion to the pro-life movement is probably genuine.

American RTL Action president Steve Curtis is challenging the wisdom and pro-life leadership of Ann Coulter for her endorsement of pro-abortion Mitt Romney for president.

National Right to Life made a statement this week
“”National Right to Life also appreciates the pro-life position taken in this presidential campaign by former governor Mitt Romney.”

Presidio9, what good is it to voraciously fight for the right to life if you will never allow someone who can be in a position of power to change things convert to your way of thinking? Rather than saying, Mitt, I accept what you are saying now and applaud it and hope it is true. You and others are basically saying he is a liar.

Conversions happen. Thank the Lord, people change their mind on abortion. I pray that Mitt’s mind was truly changed and am believing him until he gives me reason not to. Do I agree with him 100%. No. But, I believe more babies will live in a Romney Presidency than in a McCain, Clinton, or Obama one.
